If I could give 0 I would! Manager stole belongings, locked me out of multi units with 2 months free, granted 24 hr access multi times but when I drove the 30 min to pick up pieces I couldn't get in! Then called police and had them put me on no trespass for cutting my own lock off my own unit because my key broke while trying to open in a dark unlit unsafe place ... Read more

Im a new customer and im in the middle of a move. As we all know moving can be extremely stressful. I had called many storage places and when I got to Summit I was sold. The woman Megan, who I spoke with made things anything but stressful. She was super nice. She answered all my questions without me even having to ask them. When I hung up the phone my stress factor was at a low and that made me extremely happy. Thank you Megan and Summit storage. ... Read more

Worst experience ever. Megan is awful. Our situation started out fine. We had just lost majority of everything we owned due to a water leak and all the problems that come with it. We were able to keep our clothes and blankets because they could be washed at the cleaners. We had no home, as it was being gutted to the studs and concrete slab, so we had to rent a storage unit to put all of our cleaned belongings in. I told Megan that we would only need the unit for 6-8 weeks, once we could move our stuff into the upstairs of our home. About 3 weeks in we were told we needed to get the remaining things out of our garage. Because I didn’t want that stuff near our cleaned belongings, I rented another unit. I was offered the same promotion and was told it wasn’t an issue to have two units. Shortly after Megan called and said they can’t honor the promotion due to my payment dates for both units being on the same day. I told her I didn’t think it was fair that I should have to pay when she offered the promotion, to which she agreed and said she tried to explain this to the Manager. They did end up honoring it, I thought everything was fine. A couple weeks later my husband needed a unit for his business and he decided to rent from here. At first they had no issues with it and then decided they wouldn’t honor the promotion THEY OFFERED. So my husband decided to take his business down the road. Now we find out that Megan has been telling other people that we were scamming them. We just went through the worst time of our lives, we were upfront about the amount of time we needed the units and Megan offered the promotions, we didn’t even know about them to ask. Now she is spreading lies and talking about personal information to people OUTSIDE of her business. We know this because the person called my father in law to tell him. We are consulting an attorney to file defamation and libel suits against Megan and Summit Storage. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Summit Self Storage - 6200 SC 90 include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, First Floor Access and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 220 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Summit Self Storage - 6200 SC 90 start from $34 and can go up to $124 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
