The services was good the space was good my only problem is they had roaches really bad we had to shake everything out before we put thing into the moving truck we had things in boxes no food I don't know if they came from another storage unit but they was bad ... Read more

The price in the end was higher than I'd hope; due to have to go up in size since the door on the unit I had rented was broken, when I arrived today to get things going. However I found Leanne and she jumped right on getting me setup in another unit. She was extremely helpful, kind and a very welcoming personality. She seems like a gem to have as part of the company! ... Read more

I do not recommend the storage facility because in one years time my rent that started at $188 was increased six months later to $248 and is now being increased to $322. They tell me that it’s based off of the current storage prices in the area, which is false Information after I called other companies to verify the price on a 10 x 20 unit which is what I rent from them. Online you can get my sized unit from the exact location I’m at starting at $252. When you call to complain about these outrageous increases which the current increase is an additional $74 more than it was last month, they offered to lower it down to $285 which is a $37 increase from the prior price for a three month period and then it will automatically increase to the $322. I am never late, I pay on time and there is no electricity in the unit so I find it hard to believe that they need to charge an additional $74 when they’re offering no additional services to me for renting the space. What it does look like is an attempt to create a situation where people cannot afford to pay the bill, causing them to go delinquent and then they are able to seize the property Inside of the storage unit to be sold at auction. Bad business practices to loyal customers in my opinion. I have recommended Public Storage and this particular location to friends of mine, but will be letting people know to never use this company because of the way they treat their customers. I did an online search and they’re offering my size unit for $252 as of today April 30, 2025 yet they are upping my rent to $322 a month. See picture of online current price. ... Read more

Would strongly suggest looking somewhere else for storage. My unit price went up from 120>172 without notice. When I called them to ask the answer was prices can adjust month to month. I found one less than a half mile away for half the price same size unit. They clearly don't respect their clients and bait and switch knowing what a pain it is to have to move all your stuff. It's a storage unit so beside safety their isn't much they can offer different from other locations. Feel bad as live around the corner and want to support them but don't be fooled by hiw nice they are on the first day. ... Read more

The staff and managers are great. I’m sorry if this review hurts them, but don’t rent from any public storage. My rent doubled, despite spaces similar to mine being rented for much cheaper, and despite my paying my bill in a timely manner every month. Public Storage holds your valuables ransom. They know you need to store your things, so they know they can squeeze you for more and you won’t do anything about it. My starting rent was $179, (because I signed up IN PERSON instead of online where it was advertised as roughly $100, please explain that to me) and every 6-8 months, the system would up my rent by $40-$50 bucks. The final straw was when my rent was upped again to about $350. I packed my sh!t and moved out. The staff, again, very nice and understanding, I’m sure they’re abused regularly because of the company’s policies and not being able to give much relief, but they were very kind and even did all they could to keep my rent lower. Unfortunately, corporate greed won out in the end. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 2363 Ashley River Road include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 480 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 2363 Ashley River Road start from $33 and can go up to $460 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
