Terrible service. They relieve themselves of any obligation to customer service in the contract. Do not store with this company. If you must, keep all records of payments and put all changes and communications in writing. ... Read more

DO NOT use the facilities of this company to store your belongings... they will rip you off! I have had a unit with them for many years, and they have repeatedly raised their rates and fees to an exorbitant amount, without giving prior notice. I am paying almost double what I paid when I first moved my stuff in. And originally I had a larger unit! When I tried to make my payment by the due date, they were closed for two days in a row (again without prior notice). I left numerous messages but never received a return call. When I finally reached them today, they charged me an even higher late fee, even though it was their fault that I could not pay on time. I was given the BS that "the computer wouldn't allow them" to remove the fee. Which I know to be untrue, because a few years ago they were able to do so. To make it even worse, the employee was extremely rude, uncaring, and dismissive. When I asked why they didn't give us notice that they would be closed, she told me it was because they don't have to. I am in Utah, so am not currently able to retrieve my belongings, but I will as soon as I can. Believe me...I cannot wait to sever my association with this place! If I could give them zero stars, I would. I will also be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau for their shady dealings. Do yourself a favor... use ANY other storage facility than this one. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Storage America - 100 Higginson Avenue include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 200 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Storage America - 100 Higginson Avenue start from $70 and can go up to $210 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
