Read some helpful reviews of U-Store Self Storage at 445 Port Avenue, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

The gates at the facility haven't worked in weeks. There are putting chains on the fence that don't allow us access to our things and they lock the gates before anyone can even get to them from work. They close them early on Saturday and not even open on Sunday. When I asked that they come back and lock them at normal time the desk lady said "I live in Rainer I'm not driving back here". So I've not had access to my 2 units for 3 weeks and I'm in the middle of a remodel and trying to put my house on the market before Winter. The front desk gal was/is soo rude. She hung up on me after raising her voice to me when I suggested she come back to lock the gate. She didn't like it when I raised my voice back apparently. Weird. Terrible customer service. She's ALWAYS rude. The gentlemen that works there is amazing, kind and helpful. ... Read more

Despite my units containing highly confidential trade secrets, along with freezing temperatures, high winds and Torrential rains, I was forced by management to fully open the door to my rented unit while I thumbed through classified documents and trademarked products. Not only allowing for possible trademark infringement, but the possibility of a future robbery of my unit by anyone passing by with the door wide open.. Not to mention, everything inside being blasted by the high winds blasting rain inside and ask over everything I pray a couple hundred each month to keep safe.. Ive since relocated to NW Self storage where they are kind and understanding of the need for privacy amongst those paying to utilize their facilities. ... Read more

Renting a storage container for a recent move to St. Helens. Pricing for unit was more then affordable for size. It is the summer time and the storage container is dry and warm, which is great for me. If I had this unit in the winter or spring I might be concerned about moisture issues or the temperature but I have no idea about that yet. The only thing I don’t like is they don’t have an automatic gate system. You punch in access code then manually open gate, drive through, and then get out of your car and close the gate. I guess I am lazy. ... Read more

Access behind gate is 6am-9pm daily. If you are in there after 9pm or before 6am they will give you a fine. Also 2 star rating cause the manager has a cruddy attitude and is gonna get checked if she continues with it. I will be taking my storage needs elsewhere. ... Read more

We've been storing our stuff here since we moved back to Oregon in March. There are buildings with garages and then a large area in the back with containers converted into storage. It is a reasonable rate for a full container trailer (around $140 a month) which is what we have. It basically a semi trailer and it held all our things from a three bedroom house. The container area is in a locked fenced in area. You can access your things by using a code to get in the secured area, then you put your own lock on your container. ... Read more

told them I was moving out and they said to just sweep it out. I asked about getting a refund of the days I wouldn't be there, I just paid the rent on the first. I was told that the day I move out to let them know and I'll be prorated. I told them when I moved out on the 10th. and was told again that a check would be 3-4 weeks out. a month goes by I go back in and ask about the refund. then I was told by a different lady, (there's always a different person there- high turn over???) that I wasn't getting a refund due to not being out n=by the 10th and not submitting a 30 day notice of vacating. this is theft and bad business practices in my opinion. I tell everyone to avoid this scam business. AVOID RENTING HERE!!!! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at U-Store Self Storage - 445 Port Avenue include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Enclosed, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 64 to 160 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by U-Store Self Storage - 445 Port Avenue start from $69 and can go up to $122 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
