Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 1815 Hyacinth Street NE, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Interesting my review was taken down so I'll post it again, DONT BE 1MO LATE, even if something happens that is out of your control you better beg borrow and steal to pay your storage in 30 days and even then it will cost you double to get your items back. My purse was stolen at the end of May and all my cards had to be canceled, I tried to go by and pay cash and stopped by over a dozen times during business hours and the doors were locked and no one would answer the phone, I tried to call the help line for public storage and talk to someone even the chat option and was constantly met with a message that they were extremely busy and to try again later, whoever lives on site, there is a car in the back and lights on, ignores anyone calling or coming by. So I was late on June rent which was $108 for a 10x10, unable to pay cash or get ahold of anyone despite numerous attempts, now it's July 2nd and with new debit cards finally arriving I'm able to pay off my accrued debt of late fees, lien fees and increased (big surprise) July rent in a grand total of just about $350, not to mention during this last 1mo I've been late I've gotten 4 emails threatening that my storage is going up for auction as early as July 2nd. So THINK TWICE ABOUT RENTING HERE, AGAIN IF YOU ARE 1MO LATE YOU WILL PAY MORE THAN DOUBLE OR WILL LOSE YOUR ITEMS WITH NO WAY OF CONTACTING THIS SITE MANAGER. you've been warned, good luck! Also, even though you pay in advance for the month you are renting, I already have a balance of $150 owed for August.... How they can add a balance a month in advance is asinine, yeah it's not due till August 1st but they've already packed it onto my account.... I've rented at downtown mini storage for years and am SO glad another unit opened up for the same size at half the price cause I'm getting out of this place as fast as they decide to take they're lock off my unit, i guess we'll see how long after my payoff they decide to withold my belongings because as of now my access is still denied ... I am renting at the Hyacinth storage and I have to say Ms.Dee made my visit so easy and painless and went out of her way in fact above and beyond what her job description calls for I'm sure to accommodate me and meet my needs. I am sick with stage 4 terminal cancer and she helped me understand the process in case of the worse scenario that meant a lot to me. As well she was very patient with me I am not very tech savvy in my old age and accidently reserved 3 different units and instead of being irritated with me or even upset with me which I would have understood she helped me through it and was understanding, again I appreciated that. So I'd like to give a shout out to Ms.Dee and to Public Storage on Hyacinth in Salem Oregon for a job well done and I would highly recommend anyone wanting to rent that they choose this specific Public Storage for their storage needs, I can assure you will not be disappointed. I'd give them a 20 rather than a 10 if it was an option. Thanks Dee this is RETHA CERVANTES ...And you are appreciated!! ... Read more

Dee, the manager, was the most helpful person in the situation I was in. My old Public Storage unit that I had rented never had anyone greet me, talk to me other than over the phone, and then told me the day before that it switched hands to another ownership group. I had no time to make a decision and I was extremely frustrated but Dee helped me through everything and switched me over like nothing. She was wonderful and showed unbelievable care when clearly the other place didn't. I would highly recommend anyone looking to get a storage unit to look here if you want someone who actually cares about you and your well being! ... Read more

Jason was extremely helpful and very professional when explaining policy to me. I appreciated the way he was knowledgeable with company policy and practical but respectful with introducing it to me as a consumer. His eagerness to resolve an immediate issue I encountered, makes him a valued asset at the public storage facility on Hyacinth. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 1815 Hyacinth Street NE include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
