I received a phone call on the afternoon of Wed May 20 that my storage unit had been vandalized. The complex manager agreed to meet with me and boyfriend on Wednesday evening to survey the damage. He told us that the trashing of my unit happened on Tuesday afternoon - although there are no cameras in my hallway of storage units, they caught the people on video from other cameras. These people were renting the storage unit next to mine, and had vandalized around six of the units in this hallway. In my unit, they opened every single box, tossed stuff around, and left much damage. While surveying, a black truck pulled up with a woman, old man, and teen boy - Trenton asked if they'd been robbed too - their demeanors (extremely nervous, non communicative) suggested to me that these were the people who had done it - I texted this to the complex manager along with their license plate. As we walked back to the office, he walked back to them from the office - I don't know what he said but he walked back to where we were waiting at the office, told us it was the same woman and he'd called the police, said he had to go, and drove off. We waited by the front entrance for nearly an hour to see what would happen. While the police did not arrive, we witnessed this complex's terrible lack of security. The old man went back and forth through the gate on a bike, either tagging behind other cars or blatantly standing in the middle of the gate to keep it open. A second black truck arrived - maybe the woman's husband who had been called in for backup by the old man. In the meantime, a woman across the street ran over to say her unit had been robbed too – we exchanged numbers. She texted me with photos each day for THE NEXT THREE DAYS documenting how these same people returned again and again despite supposedly losing their gate access code and their lock to their own unit - leaving with truckloads of stuff, unclear whether theirs or ours. The most frustrating part was my inability to make any meaningful contact with Public Storage - the manager stopped replying to my texts but the security changes we wanted were beyond his control anyway. We were so frustrated that we went on the news to tell our story - a story many of the tenants at this storage complex don't have the time/resources to tell. After all of this, Public Storage has not added any additional security measures (e.g., a better functioning front game, a camera in my hallway, a 24-hour security guard). I’m sure that word is circulating that this storage facility is an easy mark – store your stuff there at your own risk! ... Read more

Met the owner yesterday he was super helpful and nice, I did a transfer from one property to another because I was experiencing unwanted contact with someone trying to break in- it was smooth sailing. Met Chad the next day, he was super nice as well. They take care of this property and the people who rent here. No complaints. ... Read more

I finished moving all of my stuff into this public storage today. I was left to organize and assemble everything in an orderly manner. I noticed my phone was at 5%. I had no idea how i was going to get it charged as there are no outlets near my unit. I went to the office and asked Robert if I could possibly charge my phone in there while I finished with my unit. Robert was more than accommodating. He even took the time to come let me know he had to run to another property for 20 minutes. Asking if I'd like to pick my phone up the or of I was ok to wait until he returned. Very thoughtful. Thank you Robert. ... Read more

What a wild, terrible tale of dodged accountability, crime, and incompetence! In 2023, I rented a space to store my car trailer with Public Storage. The price was good- it was a Memorial Day special, and was about 40% less than other locations. At the time, I asked the staff at the location if the rate was likely to go up. They said it was not likely to go up for at least a year, since the annual increases had already happened. So I stored my trailer there and put several locks on it. A wheel lock, a hitch lock, and also a location tracker. Three months later, to my surprise, the price went up significantly to just above the price of nearby locations. Due to the hassle, I didn't move. I certainly should have. So much regret.... On January 6th of this year I got a call from the staff at Public Storage. Had I removed my car trailer? No, I replied. I hadn't. Why? It turns out, they had a very bad feeling about my missing trailer. According to the staff member, just before the holidays, an individual had come in and rented the smallest unit available. They took and verified their ID and took payment. Early the morning of Jan 1st, video showed the individual entering the complex with their PIN, and then leaving with my trailer. Sure enough, the location tracker showed a location other than Public Storage. Unfortunately, because they had taken 5 days to notice the crime, the location corresponded to the tracker in a dumpster. The staff at Public Storage explained that they were not in a position to make a police report, but that while I had to make the police report, they would not give me any of the information they had about the individual that had given them ID and had been seen leaving with the trailer. All I could fill out was a generic police report with as many specifics as I had, and many months later I haven't been contacted by the police. Even my insurance company can not get any information from Public Storage. Since the trailer had been stolen early January 1st, I asked Public Storage to refund me for the month of January. While they wouldn't help with anything else or reimburse me any further, they did agree to finalize the account with a 0-dollar balance. Not surprising, I now have "Cedar Business Services", a Las Vegas collections company, hounding my e-mail, phone, and mail for the rent for that January. Like any terrible collections company, they won't believe me that the balance is zero. Calling Public Storage, I found out that they never did refund the account. I also asked them to remove the collections. Their response? "We can't do anything about that other than show that the account is paid." What CAN the staff at Public Storage do? What are they ACTUALLY capable of? The only thing they seem to be capable of is raising the prices long before they said they would. Now I have a missing trailer and have to pay a lawyer to fix the collections issue. Conclusion?: You are going to spend less time and less money storing your things in a vacant field. ... Read more

Customer service at this location is excellent. Robert went out of his way to help me with a unit at another location. He was able to look up my account and explain things to me so that I understood better about what was happening with my account and my unit, and he was able to help me understand how and why I was no longer in jeopardy with my unit. I like these guys. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 1608 NE 92nd Avenue include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 1608 NE 92nd Avenue start from $51 and can go up to $351 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
