Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 1202 SE 82nd Avenue, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Great price for the size of uint i am renting and the fact that I fell like my belongings are safe and secure is good the only issues that I have is that they're not 24hour access units. But over all great staff and felt very welcomed... ... Read more

I've rented from Public storage in many locations across California and Oregon. At no location have I had as good of an experience as I have at 1202 Southeast 82nd Avenue. Every staff member that I have interacted with since opening my first storage unit there a little over 6 months ago has been super friendly, helpful, and conscientious. I find it truly impressive that every time I've been on site someone has come over to introduce themselves if we haven't met before, and they always show interest in ensuring that my needs are met. This is well above the level of service and site awareness that I have come to expect from Public Storage overall. I'm genuinely impressed and feel really lucky that this is the location closest to my home. I like to particularly shout out the staff member I worked with recently to open a second unit here, Erin, who helped me out even though I was almost an hour early for my setup appointment and made sure I got the most out of my services there. ... Upon meeting Lisa I thought she was very helpful, meeting our needs at a fair price...and those thoughts soon changed. The office staff were very hard to get in contact with..rarely on site. We never received a rental contract, one was supposed to be left in the unit for us, all that was left was a flyer. I signed up for direct pay which went ok for a couple months, until , I believe, they raised the unit rent (without ever contacting me to make me aware of the increase) and they would have to get a new direct pay agreement with me. I didn't know they didn't receive payment until i got notice they were going to auction my belongings! I went into the office and paid in full what they say I owed. I found that instead of adding their lock to unit door , along with mine, they had cut it off, then put my cut lock in the unit. About 2 weeks later I finally went to look for a particular item I had stored there. What I saw upon arrival(after using my code to enter the premises) was a red wire tag on the lock, next to there lock, which I had been given the code. My bill was paid in full, so why was the wire on it? I ripped it off , unlocked the door and found my unit was not as I had left it last. Boxes were opened, stuff was moved, and my big screen TV was GONE! Lisa was amazing , and answered all of our questions. She deserves a RAISE! ... Read more

Started process to secure a unit online, got a call very promptly from the awesome lady at Public Storage ( I'll insert her name once I confirm it's correct) letting me know the payment didnt process for some reason. Tried to figure it out over the phone but I was heading that direction already anyways so finished the process in person, it was seamless. The discounts I got from doing the online application was still honored even though I technically was doing it in store, which was cool because the deal I got was specifically for online application payment only. The lady was super cool and gave me the rundown on where my unit was and most of the basic procedures and amenities at the location. She was honest about my monthly rate increasing and told me the reason and how to mitigate that. Overall pleasant change from where I was at for the past 16 years!! ... Read more

Keep raising prices. In 1 year my price went from 80$ to 180$. They make you buy & change your own tube light bulbs in your space & the hours are kind of limited. Also my first year the code locking door to my hallway was broken & anyone could get in. Bit they still make sure to hike up the prices over & over. I'm looking for a better deal at different places, since TONS of new storage places have been built all over Portland the past few years. ... Read more

One of their old customers had my current phone number on their account and this company is spam calling me non stop leaving voicemails every time - have asked 3 separate employees and specifically Debbie to take my phone number off of his account and all refused to stop because "We can't take the phone number off the account until we get ahold of him" Super frustrating and given zero understanding that the weekly phone calls for multiple years has gotten me beyond tired. I wouldn't trust their customer service if they are this unwilling to help someone. ... Read more

We had to sit around in the parking lot for 30 minutes waiting for the manager to get back and help us as first-time customers. She saw us pull into the parking lot when we arrived and still chose to leave for 30 minutes. Super helpful when we connected with her though. Update (5 months later): While attempting to close our account and return our lock at the front office — during business hours — again, nobody is in the office or reachable. Due to this recurring issue, I would not recommend this location unless you don’t plan on having any business with the front office. ... Read more

Lisa was great, I needed a storage unit when moving out and she helped me get one last minute on a Sunday. Then when I no longer needed it they let me move out easily. They have an app that sounds good even though I didn't use it and a nice facility. Would recommend! Just a note be careful entering the lot, it's a little trickier because of the crosswalk and bus stop right outside the lot. ... Read more

I’ve been renting from this Public Storage location for the past year and have had a consistently positive experience. Since my visits are usually brief, I hadn’t fully recognized the quality of customer service I was receiving—until today. Lisa’s outstanding assistance really stood out to me and really demonstrated her team’s commitment to security and service. On a particularly stressful day, I arrived to organize my unit, pressed for time with only an hour before closing. In my rush, I accidentally locked myself out without my phone. I went to the front office, and Lisa immediately stepped in to help, quickly understanding the urgency of my situation, showing genuine care. Thanks to her quick response, I was able to retrieve my phone just before closing. Unfortunately, things took another wrong turn when I realized my lock had gone missing in the process. Just minutes before closing, Lisa once again came to the rescue. Lisa patiently guided me through the process of securing my unit, explaining the necessary steps for getting a replacement lock and ensuring I had everything I needed before closing. Her professionalism and support during such a stressful moment filled with my mistakes were truly appreciated, and I can’t thank her enough for going above and beyond. Her kindness, understanding, professionalism, promptness, and effectiveness in solving problems during a highly stressful, vulnerable moment in my life were truly appreciated—I can’t thank Lisa enough for turning such a difficult situation around with her exceptional service and empathy. ... Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 1202 SE 82nd Avenue include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 360 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 1202 SE 82nd Avenue start from $75 and can go up to $502 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
