I have been a customer for over a year. In that time I have enjoyed a clean facility and friendly customer service. Rented a storage unit here for 3+ years. During that time, my life turned upside down but this storage place never let me down. It was always clean, easily accessible, had carts available, and well taken care of. I always knew my stuff was safe. The staff here was an angel. I strongly recommend this storage if you need one. ... Read more

Very frustrating because they get you in at a good price and then keep raising it significantly ($78-$101 in one month). Then they keep telling you you can have a cheaper unit if you move to a bigger one when you dispute the charges. Then you move to a bigger unit, and then they still significantly increase the prices from month to month. then they keep telling you you can get even bigger units for cheaper than the starting pay for the small units even though this was never presented as an option in the beginning. Very predatory pricing and would not recommend to anyone that needs to stay on a budget. The facility itself is nice and feels safer than some others, but I would never recommend it because of the pricing that keeps changing. EDIT/UPDATE: I called the number you provided and it was reinforced again that it is your corporate policy to raise the rent significantly and there is nothing they can do at this time. How did you think you could help? ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Northwest Self Storage - 8190 North Lombard Street include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 225 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Northwest Self Storage - 8190 North Lombard Street start from $107 and can go up to $791 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
