From start to finish, the team was professional, friendly, and incredibly helpful. The sign-up process was seamless, with clear communication about pricing, access hours, and security features. The facility itself is clean, secure, and well-maintained, but it’s the exceptional service that truly stands out. Thanks Issac and Christy !!! ... Read more

My mother and I had to complete a new lease for her storage unit and both Sara & Krista were so great to work with. The process was super easy and only took minutes. ?? A couple of weeks later, I had to put some things in the storage unit and Isaac was kind enough to got a step stool out just in case I need it. All personnel (Sara, Krista, & Issac) that I intereacted with had great positive attitudes, execellent communication skills, and were super helpful if I need anything. I highly recommend Downtown Self Storage for anyone who is looking for a place to store their things. ?????? ... Read more

Fantastic place. I had storage here for almost 5 years and just recently moved across country. Just wanted to share how great this place was. It's locally owned, clean, well-run, has 4 great loading docks and tons of carts you can use. They also sell boxes/supplies that came in handy when I ran out of my own on my moving day. The people at the front desk are lovely and have been from the time I first rented to the day I closed my account. If you're looking for a place to store your stuff I highly recommend. ... Read more

Downtown Self Storage is by far hands down the best Storage facility in Portland. This place is meticulously kept. Ideal for interior designers who need space for clients projects and they even have a loading dock. Kristi and Isaac are the most courteous and professional that anyone who owns a small business could ever wish for. They were a main reason I chose to store with Downtown Self Storage. ... Read more

I have used Davis St Storage in Portland for the last 3 years, and will continue to use them for the foreseeable future. In the last 3 years of having the same unit, regardless of whether items have been there for 3 years or just 3 months, there has been no damage, whether it be due to rodents, bugs, water, heat, or other typical storage concerns. As someone who stores things in multiple states, this is one of the best units I’ve ever rented. It is also secure. They are very diligent about people entering and exiting, and about people tampering with locks. I’ve had no issues and have never felt that my items were not secure while storing them here. The staff is also always on hand, and they are FRIENDLY! I wish I was just writing this for the review but Kristi and Kelli provide amazing service and pretty much always have me leaving laughing. I just wanted the community to know that this is a very safe and nice storage space! Thank you guys for all that you do. ... Read more

I am always impressed with the folks here. The people in the office are knowledgeable and helpful. The facility is clean, well maintained, and in a super convenient spot. I've used their services for going on three years now and have never been disappointed. Their diligence and willingness to go the extra mile has made my job easier. Something that I remember frequently is that I had a pretty handkerchief in my pocket during a trip to collect things from the storage unit I use. At some point in my day it fell out of my pocket and I was sad that I had lost it and assumed it was just gone and made my peace. A few weeks later when I was signing in one of the staff members at the counter asked me if I had lost a handkerchief. It was the one that had fallen out of my pocket. They had picked it up somewhere in the building and just thought it looked like something that would belong to me so they held onto it until the next time I was there. That level of care is something that I appreciate deeply and is something that can only come from people who really care about the job they're doing. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Downtown Self Storage - 1305 NW Davis Street include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 20 to 480 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Downtown Self Storage - 1305 NW Davis Street start from $50 and can go up to $688 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
