TERRIBLE place to rent from! A friend of mine rents 2 of the RV storage units and pays a LOT for them, there is moisture in the units and a lot of her stuff has now been ruined. Both times my boyfriend and I have gone to her storage units with her there have been issues with the doors to the units, today, RIGHT NOW in fact, we have been stuck here for an hour and counting and neither one of the doors will close on her unit, the boxes aren't getting power or something, there is nothing in the way of the sensors and everytime you press the button on either remote it just beeps. We tried calling the office and they are closed, there are no after hours emergency numbers posted anywhere so there is no way to get ahold of anyone from the facility. This is absolutely ridiculous. ... Read more

DO NOT RENT HERE!!! They did not build the storage units with a proper moisture seal and your items will be RUINED! I rented a unit for a year, starting in the summer, and came back during the winter to find mice droppings everywhere and moisture throughout the whole unit. The moisture created MOLD and completely ruined my sofa, a mattress, several boxes of clothes, and every single soft item stored. Lost money on the rent and my items. DO! NOT! RENT! ... Read more

Absolutely do NOT rent units here! My boyfriend and I had one here for only 9 months and all are couches are covered in mold, and there are spider webs and mice poop and pee everywhere, this is not a normal thing I have rented Storage units in other places and NEVER has it ever been like this. Throwing away my couches and basically wasted renting this place in the first place since I can’t even use them. ... Read more

They did not install the moisture barrier when laying concrete so tons of units have water/mold/mildew damage and the facility is taking no ownership of the situation. Do not use this this storage facility. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at U-Store Self Storage - 611 Hansard Avenue include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Kiosk Available, Parking, Enclosed, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by U-Store Self Storage - 611 Hansard Avenue start from $55 and can go up to $175 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
