John R. - 30 September 2025
Bait and switch! Online promotion for $100/month on month 6 increased to 165ish for operating cost. I can understand $10 extra after the first year and small increments each year. But 60%+ increase in months? Hope people read this and other negative reviews and stop using WCS, and you go out of business! ... Read more

I was able to do everything online which was nice so when I got to the storage facility all I had to do was show picture I'd and Aleta showed me where my unit was. It was very hassle free..Aleta was very helpful and nice. She knew what she was doing. Great customer service! ... Read more

Initial move-in process was top-notch. This place was way more professional than public storage. I highly recommend the facility as it’s well kept and clean. I hope when I do get a rate increase it’s for a reasonable 10-15% and not 25%-30% because I don’t wanna move again but I will. This is my only concern ... Read more

Predatory practices. Bait and switch. The offer a decent price to move in, but then raise your rate exorbitantly every 6 months. Mine has gone from 70/month to $167 in less than 2 years. District manager is a dishonest corporate player, preying on people who need storage. Their game is to raise your rate $30-40 twice a year, hoping you wont notices. When you do, they have a policy in place to barter with you so that you feel like you won a concession, when in reality, you only won a slightly smaller increase. They’re slimy and dishonest. Will be moving out soon, as should anyone who doesn’t want to be gauged by a profiteering company with no respect for customer loyalty (they’ll soon be charging you, a customer who’s been there years, 2-3 times as much as a new renter). It’s a hideous business practice they should be (but aren’t) ashamed of. ... Read more

It's often the first line employees who can positively highlight or destroy a business. In this case, I had the best experience i can think of regarding a public storage facility. I was greeted, shown around, had things explained, and finalized paperwork by Chantal, who went way above and beyond what you would expect. It was a downright pleasant experience from the moment I walked into the office till the moment of departure. I would gladly rent ANY kind of storage unit, anywhere, if Chantal was in charge. I'm recommending to management by customer request that she gets an immediate raise. ... Read more

Such a great storefront and storage facility! Aleta was great! Super comfortable to talk to and work with; she was very friendly and reassuring! The grounds were impeccably clean and the area was ridiculously secure, with an insane amount of video surveillance. The fees and rent are very minimal, cheaper than most others nearby So happy I chose West Coast! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at West Coast Self-Storage - 8319 SE Otty Road include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by West Coast Self-Storage - 8319 SE Otty Road start from $28 and can go up to $572 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
