When I first opened my storage unit it was dirty and the walls had holes in them , I put a secondary person on my account to pick up my belongings in case I personally couldn't pick them up myself , they made it very difficult for that secondary person to pick up my belongings and close my account , on top of that they did not honor to refund my deposit when returning there lock and for whatever reason charged an extra $40 upon closing my account when it was suppose to be 70$ a month and the advertised price was 60$. i first rated this place 5 stars because of how nice the attendant was but upon closing I realized how bad this place was and a haggle to close my account, Save your money and look for a better storage facility who are more transparent. Thanks. ... Read more

I am happy with where things are at right now. That said Public Storage has a habit of jacking the price up on a unit the longer you are in it. After 3 years they had the price up to around 180.00 a month for an 8x10! The manager said this was the highest price he has ever seen someone pay for that size. The remedy was for me to pay a 14.00 fee to change units to get the price back to what it would be if I had just rented it; 64.00 a month. I had to move all my stuff but fortunately there was an empty unit next door. Presumably many people that they do this to are down on their luck and end up defaulting and having their possessions auctioned a la Storage Wars.. Then they turn over the unit and the process repeats. This behaviour is dishonourable. I was out of town and had no way to deal with this situation until last month. Kudos to the manager for helping me rectify this, he's a great guy and I like him personally. At the corporate level things are being run in a classic neoliberal way; where the point is to make profit, serving the customer is a distant second. No wonder people elect crazy politicians and die deaths of despair because they feel like numbers on a spreadsheet. (Neoliberal economic theory was intended to be a buffer against populism and nationalism, but the result has been the opposite); They actually asked me in an email to write this review so be careful what you wish for I suppose.. ... Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 11485 SE 82nd Avenue include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 40 to 250 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 11485 SE 82nd Avenue start from $59 and can go up to $454 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
