I used a temperature-controlled storage unit one time in the past (different company in another state); something leaked from above and ruined some of our things and almost everything was rusted. I was very hesitant to use a storage unit again but I didn't have a choice. I'm really glad I found this place though, everything was seamless from move-in to move-out. Super easy to reserve a unit online, convenient location, easy access, great hours, fair prices, friendly staff and a clean facility. This place took a huge weight off during an extremely stressful time and I'm so grateful. ... Read more

I called in July multiple storage companies. I landed here because I really liked the service I received and the price was competitive. Moving in was not fun but the carts made it easier, the office staff was also nice. Rate was $101/month. Come Oct they decided to have a price increase without so much as an email! I finally had time to call, they were at lunch at this location so it forwarded the call to a general center. They said there was a $25 increase and I should have been notified 30 days ahead of time with a letter. Have not received anything. He said he could refund the $25 for a month but since I haven't even been with them for 6 months I'm a little peeved and asked to speak with a manager. Zee comes on the line and I explain the situation and that I have been in CS all my life and would never treat a customer to a price increase so soon to coming onboard as well without notification. His response, 'Well I hate to break your little heart but price increases happen all the time.' I asked if he seriously thought that was the proper way to speak to someone as a customer service manager and he doubled down saying yes!! I have no idea if they will refund the $25 as I told him that answer and his callous tone made it clear I am just a tadpole in his pond who he or they actually don't give a damn about and hung up. I will find a solution to renting from this company as soon as I can and NEVER rent from them again. My impression is they offer great service upfront and then you are just one in a million who they can do with or without. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because the facility itself is new, nice and clean. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Northwest Self Storage - 13255 SE 130th Avenue include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 350 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Northwest Self Storage - 13255 SE 130th Avenue start from $48 and can go up to $819 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
