The folks that work here and very friendly, helpful and fair. I had a storage space here for about a year and during that time when I went to the storage space, I often stopped in to say hello to them or visit their very large cat. They are nice people. The facility is clean and safe. Overall a good experience. ... Read more

The new management has been average at best. During this recent winter storm, they are refusing to do proper maintenance on their entry system and have no ETA for when they will decide to do the work. It would take 30 minutes to clear the ice that is preventing proper operation of the equipment, but they're going to just wait for the ice to melt while everybody is locked out of their units. All other self storage facilities that I've checked in town have done proper maintenance and their entry systems are operational. That puts this place at the bottom of the list when it comes to reliability. I'm going to send them a bill for incurred losses and I encourage everybody else who is losing business due to their negligence to do the same. ... Read more

We had a great experience with Vault Stor & Loc. Some reviews might infer the manager is too strict, but in all honesty this is what you want in a manager that is taking responsibility for your items being stored there. He has very simple rules and they are all there in place to keep the facility safe for others and your belongings. The initial tour he gives of the property is really fun and he goes over everything so you don't really have any follow-up questions. ... Read more

We rented a unit here for 6.5 years. Most of that time was fine with no issue, but what issues we did have involved the male manager. He is extremely confrontational and tries to intimidate, and very much treats men differently than women. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. ... Read more

I'm looking at this location to store my classic vehicle. The fellow I just talked with, Ron, was very pleasant, helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. I plan to rent partially due to his good customer service -- please note that the previous (negative) review was two years old. It's obvious things have changed (for the better) since then. ... Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Vault Store-Loc - 4450 Goodpasture Loop include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
