They lie about being 24 hour access to the units and charge you a $130 fee to open the gate past 8pm even if you were trying to get out at 7:58pm so I was technically held unwillingly for them to charge me the gate fee and won't let me get my things until its paid ... Read more

The Saturday before this past Thanksgiving, I was visiting my storage unit when I dropped and broke my lock. I called the office, and Piper was exceptionally kind in offering to bring a replacement lock to me. Her husband, Chris, showed up not long after with the lock. Their level of customer service is so rare these days. I am so grateful to the both of them, and I highly recommend The Storage Depot to others who need their services! ... Read more

The place is clean, convenient and a great price. The staff however escalates quickly if something is wrong or instructions are not followed exactly. They will interrupt you when trying to have a conversation, and will not let you finish a sentence. When moving in, our truck did block the exit gate for 2 minutes as I tried to ask if he could pull to the side, but was the conversation was futile. I asked if I could buy a lock, and the only ones on hand were a key lock and we preferred a combination- so I bought one at the hardware store. The lock did not meet the "disk" style required and will be cut off because I live out of area and cannot travel down in the time required. As I tried to ask, If this was written somewhere and I missed the details- the manager again escalated the situation and would not allow me to speak and I was told that I was explained the specifications needed. He raised his voice, and said he had on video that I was offered a lock- I agreed but asked him if audio was available please listen, as no specific lock requirements were given to me. I have no problem with following rules or adhering to their company policy, but their customer service and how to speak to their customers needs some serious work. I will admit that I may have unintentionally not had the wrong lock, and I am willing to pay for cutting the lock $40, and purchase of a key lock (with keys mailed to me)- but the tone and argumentative nature of their staff was uncalled for. Now, I am just hoping the management does not "retaliate" for leaving this review. The good news is- you should not need to deal with staff often when using a storage unit. I do want to add, that the staff was extremely helpful and timely over the phone and email when I asked about available options, reserved the unit and set up payment- the reason why I gave at least 2 stars. One of my employees overheard the conversation and was shocked by the way the management handled the call. ... Read more

Best Service ever! by a Couple team that really takes pride i in what they do and it really shows. Not only cordial, and a joy to cross paths with, these two go above and beyond, not just keeping the environment safe for everyone, but also for offering probably the most reasonable rates locally. Not to mention the cleanest facilty I've ever been to. I highly recommend this Company for all your storage needs. You'll be very pleased you chose this facility.See for yourself. B.Turner ... This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 10 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
