Bill is the ONLY good aspect of this operation. They don’t deserve you Bill! One star because of the lies and lack of appropriation of the funds to maintain this storage facility. This place is a joke, on the website it states the unit is climate controlled. The unit became so hot that we have to throw away a few things from the damage. We haven’t experienced the winter yet. The rates go up $20 every 3 months. The gate on the opposite side of the units has been inoperative since before we moved our belongings in, in May. The owners collect but don’t deliver. It’s appalling. If you have ANY other options, take them instead of this joke. ... Read more

This is a great site for storage. Not only is it clean and kept up, the units are set up in a way that has (*knock on wood*) kept the recent flood like rains, as well as the snow and ice, from hurting any of our belongings in our units. Bill, the site manager, has been a wonderful asset for us as well. Any time we've had a question he's been right there and helped us without issue. The previous manager had a lot of issues when it came to getting her on the phone, but not Bill... he's always there whenever we need him and always ready to help. My family and I also have a unit at another facility and we definitely prefer to deal with NW Self Storage Amity (and Bill) over the other (non-branded) facility. Thank you Bill for making it such a great experience for us! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Northwest Self Storage - 204 5th Street include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 150 to 200 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Northwest Self Storage - 204 5th Street start from $225 and can go up to $259 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
