Very poor customer service. When onsite no one answered the door during the business hours even tried calling only got the voicemail to which we didn't get much of a response back till hours later. If your looking for prompt service you'll need to call elsewhere. This place must not need customers to keep the lights on, it's all for show. There are better places to put your valuables. ... The horror story of all customer experiences. Made reservations at 9am for truck and storage unit. Arrived at 11am and no one there. Lights on inside, Open sign on, door locked. Called phone# no answer. Car pulls up to drop off lady around 11:10am, movers are now at house waiting for truck. Get checked in and told could not leave my car parked in front, another SUV was there parked in 2nd spot, but, me customer - no. Told them I just needed an hour to let movers in, leave truck and come back to pick up car - still No. Was instructed to park somewhere on the side, in the back, somewhere, so I go past all the 10-15 UHaul trucks, and storage units till I find a little patch of mud, gravel and grass to the right between 2 trailers and I park. Then walk back down the way, to find the mystery truck the key they gave me goes to. After a few minutes, the lady who helped me earlier, came out and directed me to the oldest looking, most run down vehicle on lot, and now I'm angry. Truly the WORST vehicle out there. So, I ask for another truck. She goes back in building, then a man came out the building said he was the "Owner' and asked about problem, I told him about no one being there at 11am, having to park in the muddy/ grass/gravel, and now trying to put me in a "relic". He said it's the truck they use for "in-town" rentals, this made me angrier because I felt now this was a flat out lie, this is a neighborhood facility, I live in neighborhood, we do in-town moves. When I told him I still wanted a better truck, he said what did I expect him to do. I told him as a business owner I expected him to try to make it right. I too run a business and when my customer is unhappy, angry or upset, I deal with it and try to make it right. He said he was not comfortable with me being angry and he would be more than happy to take those keys in my hand and cancel my contract. I was so disgusted, movers had been waiting for me an hour by now, had to pay for time not there, all because of poor service. So, I put key in his ugly outstretched hand, told him, he could also forgot about me renting a storage unit with them that I would NEVER use his facility again. So, I walked back down the way and around the corner to the wet muddy grass spot where I had parked, got in my SUV, pulled to the front and parked in the parking space (that's not for customers mind you), the SUV was still parked there in the 2nd spot so must have been someone far more important than a customer. Went back in to get proof of cancellation, because by this time my trust in Center Ridge Storage is ZERO, and there is "Owner", holding a pink paper, and he is smiling, I think it was a smile, I saw teeth. I thought this odd, hadn't smiled at me as a paying customer, but now, I happy teeth. The paper read IN-town Rental Reversal, I guess you could say. Owner was smiling, holding my pink slip. So I took the paper out of hand, walked to the door, and as I was going out he said "have a nice day". That was his 2nd lie to me, the customer. I didn't say anything, didn't even turn around to acknowledge his existence, thoroughly disgusted in him and his business. Thought about cancelling the move. I drove down the street, walked in and rented from Irrigation Consultants and got my storage unit from Valley Storage on Lorain, both in North Ridgeville. My movers (A Little Help Movers) didn't even charge me for the 1.5 hour delay to get truck). All these businesses gave excellent service just by treating me as a person, as a customer. And Irrigation Consultants and Valley Storage even apologized for the bad service I received from Center Ridge Storage. They had NOTHING to do with it, but, they were the ones to apologize. So, Mr. Owner, of Center Ridge Storage, I DID have a nice day, because other businesses, other people, in the same neighborhood made sure that I did. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Center Ridge Storage - 35233 Center Ridge Road start from $58 and can go up to $254 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
