Read some helpful reviews of iStorage at 9805 Wilkens Blvd, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Buyer Beware. I needed a 5X10 storage for about 24 months which, they had multiple available. The original price was $15 per month. They let me pay 5 months upfront at the original rate but told me that the price could increase after that. I asked what a typical price increase looks like and they told 10%-15%. 10%-15% increase every 4-5 months is understandable and I could accept that. However, I was recently informed that the price increase I was receiving was not 10%-15%, not 20%-25%, and not even 30%-35%. It’s a 63% increase. A 63% increase is predatory and also bad business. Rather than have a guaranteed renter in a non-temperature controlled indoor unit for the next 19 months, you’ve priced me out because I can’t be certain that price increase won’t become a trend and I refuse to endure a 63% increase every 4-5 months. ... The process to make a storage reservation is very simple and easy. Getting assistance is not. The website lists weekday hours as 10a-6pm. I drove over there to get help on a Wednesday, only to see store hours on Wednesday denoted as "closed". I rented a uhaul to move a large couch, only to find that the 10x10 unit I rented was actually two 5x10 units, with a two walls in the middle of the unit, separating the units, see image. This was not what I rented, and not what was advertised. It was extremely difficult to get my furniture into the unit, whereas if the unit was a 10x10, with doors the size of a unit that is 10x10, this would not have been an issue. I called the number on the store website, only for the operator to tell me that they could switch me units, but not guarantee that I would be in an actual 10x10 unit. When I asked for compensation in lieu of moving units, they said that I would need to speak to the property manager, but told me that their system says the office for this store is closed permanently. They then directed me to speak with the property manager of the sister store off HWY22, and they would be able to issue me a reduced rate. I was unable to contact the store, as the voice message told that the store was closed on Thursdays, even though the website hours say it should be open. My last resort is to go to the sister office to speak with the manager--but again, I can't guarantee that this store will actually be open. ... Read more

Follow up 1/10/24: 3 weeks have passed from the original request and post and still zero communication (other than an AI response from istorage), lights in my unit still not turned on and not a single patch in the craters in the driveway. —- Original review 12/20/23: I’ve been a customer of istorage many years. Mason location is completely let go. Most importantly, I’ve been asking to have electric turned on in my units for months and zero follow through. Limited winter daylight makes it virtually impossible to visit the facility outside of working hours. Potholes in the driveways are a huge safety issue. I’ve talked to the manager on duty about this issue for several years, with zero action or follow up. As a business owner in Mason for the last 23 years, I’ve never seen such neglect in our community. This is also the first negative Google review I’ve ever given a business, because I’ve tried all other options, to no avail. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at iStorage - 9805 Wilkens Blvd include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Credit Cards Accepted, Enclosed, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 600 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by iStorage - 9805 Wilkens Blvd start from $33 and can go up to $564 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
