The lack of customer service has become truly pathetic since change of ownership. There is no communication and the personal touch that I loved about this place when we first started using it is completely gone. I would look elsewhere. ... Read more

This place used to be a dream when I came to your storage needs until it changed ownership. I was told by email that I needed to move my camper off the property for a few days so the facility can be paved. It ended up taking almost 2 months with zero communication only to find that there was no paving where the campers are stored (Very Misleading). They will not cut the weeds where the campers are stored. The weeds are about 4 to 5 foot tall and some units have weeds growing into them because of that issue. I had called the facility number for assistance with my gate code not working and was directed to an Indian call center where the man told me that it was my problem to figure out and that there was nothing they could do. I couldn’t access my property for a couple of days after that. This place was one of my favorite places to do business. Unfortunately I feel like the new owners are neglecting the RV tenants in hopes that they find a new place to store their property so that they can build another indoor storage building. ... I called several storage unit companies on a Saturday. This was the only place where a person answered the phone and I did not have to leave a voice mail. The representative was extremely friendly, professional and helpful. Renting the unit was a very smooth, quick process. I was very pleased! ... Read more

It is under new management. I tried to pay our bill early for the holiday, and cannot get ahold of anyone. I left one voicemail and still tried to call, but eventually I received a recording saying the voicemail was not set up. It looks like the voicemail has been deleted. I’m afraid my unit will be locked up. This is not a great way to run a business. ... Read more

Great business and great staff! Clean and very professional. I never had any trouble reaching them when I called. They also make it very easy to pay online, over the phone, or in person. Very nice storage facility. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Ironton Storage Units - 89 Co Road 181 include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Unstaffed Location, Keyless Unit Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 390 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Ironton Storage Units - 89 Co Road 181 start from $32 and can go up to $180 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
