Great rates but bring a fan! Climate control is not working. Women don't go alone. I've been in 3 times and heard snoring from the unit I believe in across from mine as well as there is an older gentleman who comes and sits in his wheelchair in his unit most of the day. ... Read more

This is the worst storage place I've ever rented from. They constantly are changing their price an increasing rent an adding stupid charges to increase your payment. They're basically charging 70$ for a tiny storage size of a tiny closet.. after I started my rental at 10$ it's increased 60$ within 6 months on me. They don't care if you been a valuable customer.. they won't work with you on late fees or anything. I would not recommend.. if your looking for a storage I'd most definitely not recommend this place ... Read more

This is the worst storage place I've ever rented from. They get you in with a new deal of 10$ a month then soon as your in there they increase the unit 40 more dollars plus the insurance fee. That's alot to increase someone's rent especially for a tiny size closet unit. If your struggling an pay late they just keep adding all kinds of fees an won't work with you to ever waive any. And now they wanna increase your bill $10 more dollars if ur account isn't enrolled into auto pay. There so many more storage units around that grandfather you in on price with whatever price you started at even if they raise their prices.. your grandfathered in on your rate for which you started at. It's annoying that they're constantly increasing the price an adding fees.. an it annoying cause they know how big of a Hassel it is for someone to keep switching storages an moving all their stuff so they jus keep increasing their price. I do not recommend this storage place to anyone, but I do recommend istorage that is just right up the road from them. ... Read more

I have been a tenant at Storage of America since October 2020. Over the past couple of years, I've noticed a significant decline in the quality of service and maintenance. One of the most glaring issues is the lack of onsite staff, which has only exacerbated the problems. This summer, the garage doors were broken for at least six weeks, making it impossible for me to drive into the building to unload or pick up items. As an artist with physical limitations due to three shoulder surgeries, I am not able to carry my large artworks from the front door back to my unit. The ability to drive into the building is essential for me, as it allows me to move items without worrying about the weather or my physical constraints. Today, I arrived to pick up a painting I need to deliver tomorrow, but due to an electrical issue, none of the keypads worked, and there was no way into the building. This is just the latest in a series of maintenance issues that have moved past being merely annoying to directly affecting my livelihood. I specifically chose this location because it is climate controlled, which is crucial for preserving my art. Unfortunately, the upkeep of the building has continued to deteriorate. Despite this, the rent has been raised yet again, which is frustrating given the decline in service and maintenance. I hope that Storage of America will address these issues and improve their service for their tenants. ... Read more

I had a pretty good experience renting here. I had a 5x5 unit for $10 a month for a year (the price increased to $40 as of 1 July 2024). The units are all indoors and temperature controlled, which is great for doing any moving in high or low temps or bad weather. They gave me a unique security code to enter and exit the building. They provided me with a new, unopened lock and 2 keys for free. The aisles are as clean as they can be for a building cars regularly drive through. There was an incident where 1 overhead door was broken by a customer running into it, so when I was moving my things out this past month I had to pull in, load my car, and reverse out but that wasn't a huge deal. The door was fixed in about 3 weeks, which only took so long due to having to order parts and wait for them to arrive. The one downside is there are no employees on site so if you do need help, you have to use the kiosk or call, though I recently got an email that the kiosks are being removed and they will just have QR codes to their customer support website I guess. However, any time I emailed them I got a response vety quickly so I never really had issues. Still, they're cheaper than just about anywhere else and indoors which is more than most can say. My stuff was never tampered with and I never saw any insects like other customers have claimed. ... Read more

There’s a reason they are the cheapest in town! Continuous problems with their system not working, so neither does your entry code. As I write this, the entry lift gate/door that allows pulling your car in has been inoperable for going on 2 weeks now, making moving a nightmare. The place is rarely cleaned, trash in the aisles and bathrooms stay filthy. I have seen dead roaches in various places, and they have rat traps all over the place. Someone told me they were almost stranded inside overnight due to system malfunction and the exit gate not lifting, allowing them to drive out. Customer service didn’t help but thankfully another customer came and finagled the system somehow. When you call the owners, they take their time responding when the system won’t allow you in or out. And you have to call the owners because customer service will not help you and will leave you stranded inside (or out). Oh, and need I even mention the people on drugs found living in the units? Rent at your own risk and leave nothing there you may need, you may not be able to access it when you need to. Photos are of different occasions. Yes, that is a roach on the floor in the one photo. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Storage of America - 5043 Kitridge Road include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Kiosk Available, Parking, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 280 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Storage of America - 5043 Kitridge Road start from $45 and can go up to $269 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
