Read some helpful reviews of Storage Rentals of America at 15031 Strader Road, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

There was obviously a leak in my unit as all my belongings were covered in mold and there was a huge puddle in the middle of the unit. When I called the manager, he denied there were any issues where water could get into the unit, but then stated they had just had the roof replaced. He insinuated we were lying about the damage to my belongings and the water, so we took video and pictures. The majority of my belongings were ruined as a result. He then told my daughter (per what she told me), who is not on the contract, that she had to dispose of all the damaged belongings and that she couldn't do it in their dumpster. I left everything there, other than a few items, due to everything being damaged beyond repair. I then got a call from my daughter when I was in Georgia, telling me the manager had threatened to have me and her arrested if I didn't come back and get the damaged property. I called the manager, and he informed me that if I didn't come get the damaged items, I wouldn't get to place an insurance claim. I have paid insurance to this place for over a year and was told they wouldn't even look at my claim if I didn't remove everything from the unit. I was also told that even if they did accept the claim, I was only entitled to $1000.00 coverage. The painting in the unit that was damaged has a value that exceeds that amount, by itself. I was told I would have to produce receipts or websites with similar items. Some of what was destroyed were pieces of antique furniture from my grandmother and mother, who are both now deceased. I informed the manager that it makes no sense that not only have I paid over $300.00 monthly for this unit, but I have also paid insurance to protect my items, then I find out there was an issue with the roof, that no one from the unit contacted me about, but now I was being told that my items would only be covered for a fraction of what I had lost, if at all, and that I would have to pay to remove them from the unit that damaged them. I was also that I couldn't dispose of them in the dumpster at the location that destroyed my items in the first place, all of this after they tried to deny the issue and insinuated I was lying! I informed them I wasn't coming back and wasting more money removing them; they owned the items now, and they could do with them as they pleased. I then began receiving harassing phone calls and threats of arrest through email for abandoning my property on private property. I had to finally send an e-mail back explaining to them that this was a civil matter, not criminal, and they were more than welcome to file a case against me, and that threats through intimidation if they aren't paid large amounts of money, actually IS a crime. They attempted to remove a $300+ fee for storage from my account, then another $300 for cleaning out the items THEY damaged. I also had to inform them that THEY were in breach of the contract between us, which is very much a civil matter, just to get them to stop harassing me and my daughter (who again is NOT on the contract)! ... This was my first motorhome purchase. Tom was very helpful as far as giving me hints and ideas on what to do as far as parking my RV or Mortal home and make it as safe as possible. Any question I had he had a good answer for and I'm going to Walmart right now to pick up a few things that we talked about. ... Read more

Tom was incredibly nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. He went above and beyond, calling me on his day off to sort out the details of the parking space rental (even sending me a photo of where to park) and thoroughly answered all my questions. He was great at acknowledging all emails and texts, including verifying the receipt of documents. The storage facility is in a nice, safe area. I'd highly recommend Tom and this location. Super impressed with his old-school professionalism! ... Read more

Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 550 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Storage Rentals of America - 15031 Strader Road start from $22 and can go up to $155 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
