Bad experience. These units need air circulation. The condensation was very bad. Entire floor soaking wet. Our losses would have been very high if we hadn’t taken proper precautions. Just lost a butcher block island. Warped wood and lot of mold. I would not recommend. ... Read more

Unit leaks water from roof and has a lot of moisture. So no fabric of any kind should be stored here. Bikes and things that can handle moisture are the only items you should store. Definitely no furniture, golf bags etc. Card board boxes should be off the floor and covered with plastic... no guarantees mold won't grow on cardboard as well. But the rates are the cheapest I've seen. ... Read more

ZERO STARS. I have never written a Google review, but our experience was so bad I feel obligated to share to warn any future renters. My boyfriend and I had been renting a storage unit at the Henrietta location for years with seemingly no issue. When we tried to get our stuff out Sunday, we showed up at our unit to find a different lock on it. We tried to call but they are closed Sundays, so we called Monday. Company is extremely disorganized, customer service couldn’t tell us what happened and said it “might be” one of their locks that they replaced ours with for “security reasons” but they weren’t sure. The manager, John, didn’t get back to us until later that day to say it’s not their lock, but refused to admit that someone could’ve broken in because it has “never happened before”. He didn’t show up until Tuesday afternoon to break open the lock while my boyfriend was there and lo and behold, some of our items are missing. He didn’t even stay around to talk to the police. He was unresponsive, completely unsympathetic in every regard, and minimized our entire experience, saying “maybe” he could get security footage to us and talk to the owners about a “rental credit” but that he’d have to get back to me. He would not give me the owner’s contact information. How can a unit be broken into with items stolen and no one notices? That’s the entire point of storing your items in what is promised to be a secure facility. We took our things and left. DO NOT RENT HERE. ... Read more

Ontario location NEGATIVE 10 STARS.Do not recommend using this place.ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING !!.I lost a lot due to the leaking roof, stink bugs, eroding cement foundation, chipmunk infestation which left urine&feces all over my belongings..Owner I spoke with was very rude&un willing to do anything to compensate my loss. ... Great price and very responsive to emails. A pretty seamless move in and move out process, but if there’s any confusion just send them an email and it’ll get cleared up quickly. Only needed this for a month and it worked out well for me. Only complaint is that the doors were a pain to raise and lower. Also note that the small units are in a somewhat narrow hallway, which made maneuvering some bigger items a bit tricky, but still possible. I would definitely rent here again. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Cook ROC Storage - 30 Thruway Park Drive include the following amenities: Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Unstaffed Location, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
