A good storage with decent security. However, do NOT expect to have light inside your unit. They offered me a unit in the corner and I ended up with a dark unit where I can barely see inside. I also have seen several cokrockroach inside my unit and in the hallway (which I assume expected). You also won't be able to access your unit after 6:30 p.m. (using the main entrance) Pros: friendly staff, very helpful, fairly priced units, decently secured. Cons: no light inside the units, dirtly bathrooms, never had soap inside the bathroom, some cockroach here and there. ... Read more

Victoria was outstanding! She was professional, thorough, and took the time to clearly explain all the policies and rules. On top of that, she even helped me set up my Extra Space Storage app, which made everything so much easier. We need more people like Victoria—dedicated, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. ... Absolutely awful experience at StorQuest on Frederick Douglass. I showed up at 6:33pm (after an accident blocked the road) only to find out they lock the gates at 6:30 even though online it clearly says 7pm—nowhere does it say that except a tiny sign on the door. The manager on duty, Chrisy (Chris with a y), was unbelievably rude, told me to come back at 9am, then had the nerve to show up late himself at 9:08 with customers waiting outside asking if the place was even open. No apology, no help, nothing. Called the district manager Amanda and even customer service said properties can change access times, but the issue is they don’t tell anyone! If you value your time and sanity, avoid this place—it’s run by people who clearly don’t care about their customers. ... Read more

I highly recommend getting a storage unit at this company, thanks to the excellent service provided by Candace. She made the enrollment process extremely smooth and was very kind and thorough in her explanation of the company's services. With her assistance, I was able to find the perfect storage unit for my needs and the whole experience was stress-free. I am confident that Candace will provide the same level of exceptional service to anyone in need of a storage unit. ... Read more

Insurance and cylinder locks should not be a factor in renting a unit! Also no 24/7 access! I do not recommend! They think price will drive people in but people will rather have higher rates with better service! ... Read more

Storage place is good and well maintained but giving 1 star because I’m deeply disappointed by their pricing. We got an offer for $84 per month, but they change price to $127 after 2 months. We wrote them, we were sure it’s a mistake, but no answer. When I called few days later, it was late to cancel. We would understand a slight change of price, but this is not fair and can’t be explained by any reasonable argument. It’s a classic ripoff. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at StorQuest Self Storage - 2924 Frederick Douglass Blvd include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 207 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by StorQuest Self Storage - 2924 Frederick Douglass Blvd start from $12 and can go up to $764 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
