The 5 stars are for the customer service! Chuck at the front desk went out of his way to help me figure out my storage needs. He was kind, professional and knew his job/facility. Facility, itself, could use more available dollies.... But overall I recommend this facility. And especially working with a person who knows his stuff. Thanks Chuck! ... Read more

This is by far the worst storage facility I have ever dealt with. The place is filthy, with rat poop and even dead rats around the units, making it completely unsafe and unsanitary. They advertise as climate controlled, but that is absolutely not true. On top of that, they never answer their phones, making communication nearly impossible. They also sold my belongings even though I only owed for the current month. To make matters worse, they raise rent without any notice — my unit started at $60 plus insurance and ended up at $160 plus insurance for a 5x5 unit (closet sized), all while my items weren’t even safe from the ongoing rat infestation. This company is untrustworthy, misleading, overpriced, and provides zero accountability. Avoid this place at all costs. ... Read more

Rates increased by ~$40 with no notice. The quality of the building is not great. This facility is not being maintained, swept, or cleaned in any way that I have noticed over the last year or so. There are rat/mouse traps everywhere. Security is variable. There is a convoluted method to using the elevators which is neither efficient or safe. The staff is kind and they seem attentive, but is hardly on site nor seems to want to be there. ... Read more

39% increase in 4 months! I agreed to pay $103 per month for basically furniture storage. After 4 months they raised it $40 month. That is a 39% increase! It cost me over $1,000 to move my property into storage and this is outrageous. I believe this is taking gross advantage of me. I contacted the NYS Attorney General Office and Consumer Affairs. ... Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 305 Del Drive include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 305 Del Drive start from $29 and can go up to $682 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
