UPDATE: I've already called you, and you've done nothing. Other folks: They want to make it seem like they care by posting comments like this below one star reviews. They do not care. They will do nothing but pretend online. ---- DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. Went through these so called 'great' reviews -- most of them are seem paid for or fake: accounts suspiciously only reviewing here and no where else, or only other safeguard storage locations, always saying the same thing with small variation, etc. It's no wonder how they trick people into going here. The most unprofessional staff I've ever met, one staffer in particular. We've been responsible, reliable, respectful customers for a few months now -- paying thousands of dollars. We've never expected much -- and even though the one woman who usually sits at the front desk is always miserable or on her phone ignoring you, if you dare to try and speak to her, she will act like you're the stupidest person alive. She seems to be having some type of meltdown the last few days, as she screamed at me the other day, and again today, completely unprovoked. We've never complained about her before, because I've worked in customer service and honestly do not expect anyone to serve me with a smile, and sometimes people are just having a bad day. But to be this unhinged over, literally, nothing -- to respond like this to a respectful paying customer, she really needs to get over herself, and get it together. This isn't even including all the other issues we've had over the pass few months: they're supposed to open at 9am (Mon-Sat), multiple times I've shown up and had to wait over an hour for her while she lazily strolls in whenever she feels like without apology or hurry, usually 10am or later. Spills on the floor are a frequent tripping hazard. I've seen mice and other pests. The staff and management I've been in contact with, seem to content to take your money and do not even care enough to do the bare minimum. We've already tried to raise concerns with management, they didn't seem motivated to do much of anything. Offered a meager 'discount' for the next month (after we already said we would be leaving). Once you sort through the fake reviews here (sort for lowest) you'll see these have been ongoing issues for a long time, and they have NO INTENTION OF IMPROVING. We will be closing our account with this business within the next few days. TL;DR IF YOU DON'T WANT TO PAY THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO GET DISRESPECTED, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. If you own a business like us, DO NOT GO HERE. Their competitors are right across the street and seem lovely. ... Read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Horrible rude woman at the front desk. So, so bad. If you want to pay a lot of money to be insulted, definitely go here. So why do they have so many seemingly good reviews: they are nice to people for like 5 minutes and get them to leave a review quickly, they have their friends leave reviews, it looks like maybe they’re paying people to leave fake reviews, and theyre adding fake reviews for themselves (if you look through you can see most are left by accounts that haven’t reviewed anything else before or after, a lot of the content is identical, names are similar with small variations, or if you click through reviews are only positive and for Safeguard locations). We have had a ridiculously bad experience here. One member of the staff, a woman who often works at the front desk, is usually rude, but lately has been outlandishly unprofessional. We’ve tried to be polite, we’ve tried to keep it civil, but it seems like she really likes to start fights and use her small position to feel powerful. It’s really weird. Called management to discuss. No motivation to improve. I’ve asked other customers and it seems to be an ongoing issue. But who has the time to complain? Well, I’m making time, because WOW, this place is so bad. Don’t go. ... Read more

Tamarra was very professional and courteous. She was very helpful and informative on how the storage facility works. She showed us the unit and explained how to access the unit including the dates and times. The storage facility is very clean and up kept. I also felt very safe too since you need to press a button to allow someone to come in or have a code to gain access to the facility. Online booking was fast and easy. The website provided detailed information, allowing me to select the right size unit. Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Safeguard Self Storage - 1206 East New York Avenue include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Credit Cards Accepted, Keyless Unit Access, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 20 to 100 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Safeguard Self Storage - 1206 East New York Avenue start from $27 and can go up to $329 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
