This Public Storage has been a great experience, however Portia is exceptional!!! I went into the office frazzled and not making a lot of sense, She was able to listen and understand me, not sure how she did it( I was a mess ??). She solved my issue within two minutes. Portia’s such a warm and patient young lady. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!! ... Read more

The customer service was good and the rates are good. As I went with the intention of getting a 5x5 locker but ended up with a 5x5 room for the same price so that worked out for me. I appreciated that the staff took the time to find me a better deal. ... Read more

I’ve been to many storage places around NY and none have ever given me an experience I truly can value. Been a customer here for about three months now and the staff are always so helpful. Theiry, the woman at the front desk is so knowledgeable and attentive she always answers my questions to the fullest giving me the best options when it comes to anything related to my storage unit. I am not sure who’s in charge there but she seems to know it all and I’m glad I chose this location. Would give 6 stars if I could, completely satisfied no complaints. ... Read more

Despite the negative reviews from others, I was hesitant but came to the facility open minded and was greeted by a gentleman by the name of Elvin. Beyond helpful and informative, he was able to answer any question or concern I had regarding the units and prices. I will most likely come back to this place. ... Read more

There will never, ever be a time where storing anything here would be worth it. You're better off leaving it on the curb, because then you know for sure whether it's safe or not. I count myself lucky that I only saw the proof of the rats and not what another reviewer saw, a dead rat in their unit. Which has to happen relatively often considering the odds. It is only by chance that anyone's things here aren't victim to floods, mold, robbery. I spent countless hours here emptying out accumulated storage for family. Beginning in October 2022 and ending in February 2025. I went at least two or three times a month for a very long time. Part of the reason it took so long is because the space is so inhospitable and difficult to work with (bad hours, no trash, bad parking, elevators a nightmare) There are normal awful storage things, like the raised rent without notice and useless insurance, but this place far exceeds any of that. I never had a good experience here. Why pay to have your stuff live with rats? Why risk the countless robberies? The flooding? You can't even store paper here, because rats eat that too. They ate a book of mine, a rug. Things you wouldn't think a rat can destroy. The rats here must be a smarter, more agile breed because they exceed all my expectations. They are the hardest workers in the building, and they care more about your stuff than anyone else. There are basic services this place just doesn't do, namely any sort of trash. For a storage facility, this is insane. You have to take everything and find somewhere else to dump it. Even candy bar wrappers have to be sneaked into the custodian's wheeled trashcan. There is no trash can in the bathroom. You have to give them a government ID to use a cart. There is absolutely no way a barely-functioning cart is worth handing over your government identification with no oversight. It's also extremely easy to forget it there. Also, sometimes they leave the office empty, lock the door, and walk away. Good luck if you're in a rush and your ID is behind the desk. The people working there can be cool, and it genuinely isn't their fault. There is just nothing the staff can do that will make this place any better. They don't let you use the bathroom, it's only if the last person left it open by locking it so the door doesn't close. They won't give you the code. The most surprising thing is sometimes there's soap. They also have a Kafka-esque "clean-out fee." Usually a storage facility's clean out fee is a payment you make if you don't sweep up, or if you leave something in there. Their "clean-out fee" is a fee they charge you after you close your storage unit, for leaving things in there. So, they never clean it out, and then they just keep charging you a fee (On top of the normal rent) and they don't close your account (because it's not empty). It's just an extra charge that makes absolutely no sense. Even if the staff misunderstood the company's policy, it is still the policy they are enforcing. (I am being generous by hoping it was a misunderstanding) FYI, a 10' x 15' that in Jul 2021 was opened at $354 became: March 2024 - $590 June 2024 - $699 Dec 2024 - $802 !!!!! A different 10x15 began as $390 in April 2021 ended in Oct 2023 at $549 Again, there is no situation where you should be using them. No storage facility is great, but please respect yourself and your belongings enough to keep them out of here. You'd just be throwing money away. Your stuff is safer thrown onto the subway tracks because it's just as filthy, but it's harder for people to steal it. So many memories here. ... Read more

I’ve had my storage unit since August 2023, and every time I had any encounter with the staffing, it’s rude. The rent also has increased twice since. I had found my items being destroyed by the rats infested in this facility. As of November 5th 2024, I visited my storage unit to take some items out, and I noticed that it was broken into. Thousands of dollars in purchases were stolen out of my unit. I’m currently going on day two awaiting for police so I can make a police report. I would not recommend wasting any money to rent at this location. It is very disgusting and the staff are not respectable or have any customer service skills at all. Beware. #storagenightmare. ... Back in September I booked and moved my belongings into a storage unit for the first time. It was a little nerve-wracking as I had the grand idea of booking online and trying to find the unit on my own. I originally booked one unit here and when I realised I wasn't going to be able to fit everything in that one unit I went and asked for Roniel's help and he found me a second one. He was so attentive and helpful. He figured out the best one for me, made sure I got a bottom unit when I expressed my concerns with climbing a ladder, and showed me exactly where to go and how to get there. Everything went so smoothly and I didn't feel at all stressed or anxious with this second unit. I really appreciate his help! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 367 Southern Blvd include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Credit Cards Accepted, Keyless Unit Access, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 20 to 250 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 367 Southern Blvd start from $30 and can go up to $870 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
