?? 3.6.26 Update: I wanted to move out of my unit and get a diff. sized one but also have it close by so it would be a easy transition. I've already worked with the two nice men in the past. They were so accommodating with the move-out date and move in time and advice, suggestions. We did not plan on stopping there this past Saturday late afternoon. I had a bright idea and dialed their number, even though I thought the employees were off of work by then. But, no! Devon picked up the phone and helped me through the process. It was some of the Best customer service I've ever gotten. Was able to do everything so quickly. I'm a little bit of a neat freak so I brought my dustpan and started sweeping the new unit. Until I looked down and there wasn't a Single piece of debris in the dustpan. Not even a tiny little dust ball. It was 100% disinfected and cleaned. I had to upload pics due to the fact I spent a good amount of time sweeping Nothing! I didn't even look down to realize that it was already immaculate. THANK YOU AGAIN to the nice people that work here. Making my life so much easier. The nice people that work here especially, WILL have been extremely helpful and sincere. They are persistent and work very hard to make sure you're happy. I am very content with their service and I am happy with my unit (which I've had for over 15 months). It is very quiet, feels very safe and it is always extremely clean. And if you ever need anything or have any concerns, Will is there.for you. He always calls back or texts or sends an email. ?? Multiple units broken into on the night of 2/4/26. Our units lock was cut, our stuff ransacked and approximately $6k worth of stuff was stolen less than two weeks after moving in. Extra Space will direct you to file an insurance claim and absolve themselves of all responsibility. Extra space storage was incredibly clean and is well lit. I did notice an extensive security surveillance system, which made me feel comfortable storing my personal items there. Unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to meet Manny, the manager, that everyone, talks so highly about. However, I did meet Brianna, who was filling in for him, and I am so glad I did. The reason I needed a storage unit was because I am going through a terrible divorce and I needed a place to store my stuff until I am situated. My mind is all over the place and I cannot focus. Brianna was not only professional and knowledgeable, she was extremely patient and took the time to help me collect my thoughts and walked me through the leasing process. She was happy to give me a tour and answer any questions I had. She further assisted by making suggestions regarding the proper sized unit for my needs. I went back-and-forth, trying to decide when I wanted to get the unit and she informed me that I didn't need to make a decision now. Instead, she told me about the reservation process and how it worked. She also went above and beyond her work responsibilities by allowing me to vent and tell her what was going on. I am sure she didn't need to know everything I told her, but Brianna actively listened and was incredibly kind and nonjudgmental. After talking to her, she made me feel at ease and I did commit to a lease. Based on other reviews, Manny and the other staff are just as nice as Brianna, so I am sure I made the right choice in choosing this facility for my storage needs. What can I say, my experience was so great that I am writing this a few weeks later and am posting this everywhere. I live in NYC and had storage unit for over a decade with the yellow company and had an incident with a rude regional staff member, so I decided to move. I was able to find a size and a price a little more than an hour away. The family and I drove out to the Bayshore, NY location and I encountered Manny Ronquillo. He took me around the site and opened the units that we were interest in. He even opened the units that we weren’t looking at but my little kids wanted to see but he even did it with our permission so my kids could see them. He answered all of my and my wife’s questions. He even gave recommendations as to where we could get food and snacks when we drove out. He obviously, knows what having little kids is like and the hiccups of moving in with kids. How do you make a storage unit experience family friendly? Go talk to Manny in Bayshore. We reserved a unit with him and told him we would move in, in 2 weeks. Two weeks later on the morning of move in he called to confirm that we were still coming. I told him that I had a problem with getting the truck but was going to be 2-3 hours later than expected, and he said no problem he would be here. When I was done packing at the yellow company and then driving I got a call from Manny saying that he had a family emergency and he had to leave but his co-work William would take care of me. After a snowy 2 hour drive from NYC I arrived. As soon as I got out of the truck rental and turned around William was opening the front door and greeted me by name and apologized that Manny had to leave for a family emergency. He went over the paperwork that Manny and I had arranged and showed me how to access the unit. We were unloading for hours but when the office closed he came by to check on us and wave goodbye. Later in the week, Manny called back to see how the move in went and to apologize for not being there. He had a family emergency and he is so polite that he apologized for having to take care of his family. Needless to say, I told one of my other friends about this great experience and he said he had a similar experience renting from a guy named Manfred that worked for Extra Space before he left NY to move to NC years ago.
