Hands down the worst experience I have ever had. When I moved into the facility I was not asked to sign anything. I was a tenant for several years, on auto pay, and never missed a payment. Then I received the nastiest and most unprofessional email demanding that I sign the rental agreement. I had no issue with the request, but rather in the manner it was delivered to me. I simply asked for it to be mailed to me and that I would be happy to sign and return it. Nothing was sent to me and frankly I forgot about it. I was subsequently locked out of the facility even though my account was current. The "manager" came to the fence, took my information and then returned to lecture me again about the rental agreement. I politely asked for one to sign and was met with aggression and hostility. I simply tried to remind her that the agreement was never given or mailed to me and I failed to see how I was at fault. Her exact words were: "well the previous manager sucked". Not very professional at all. I informed her that due to the way I was treated I would be moving out, to which she nastily replied "fine, we don't prorate the rent". I didn't ask for a refund of any kind. Disgusted with the level of unprofessionalism I strated my move out. I hadn't been to my unit for a long time, my belongings were filthy, everything completely covered in dirt. Save yourself and go somewhere they appreciate your business. I ended up at UHAUL. My new unit is far more secure, climate controlled AND less expensive. Storwise is a rat hole. ... Read more

I've been a customer for a number of years, and the management's always been good to me. They've made a lot of improvements (resurfacing, roof resealed, upgraded the security gate, put in a push gate, installed and upgraded the interior & exterior security cameras, painted, and other stuff over the years) and now, with the new manager residing on site, there's even more security! Victoria's very personable, anyone should like her! Also, her maintenance honcho, Jerimiah, is a great gabber too but manages to keep out of your hair as well (how he does that, I don't know). Anyway, the rates are competitive, so don't miss out! ... Read more

I recently had the pleasure of working with Victoria at this storwise, and I must say, I was truly impressed by her level of professionalism, kindness, and expertise. I initially inquired about their smallest storage unit, but she took the time to understand my needs and recommend a larger, more suitable option. With her guidance, I opted for an 8x21 unit that not only accommodated my belongings but also allowed me to sort through them efficiently. Her exceptional customer service and attention to detail are commendable, and I would highly recommend her to anyone in need of storage solutions. It's clear that she takes pride in her work and genuinely cares about providing the best possible experience for her clients. Well done, Victoria. I will let all my friends know they simply need to come see you! Especially with car cruising season right around the corner, we'll need somewhere to store! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at StorWise Self Storage - 940 Freeport Blvd include the following amenities: 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 60 to 168 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by StorWise Self Storage - 940 Freeport Blvd start from $60 and can go up to $150 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
