This experience has been insane. When I first rented from them, they gave me a lock and said If I bought my own, I could return it and get the deposit back. And so I went and bought my own, and when I went to go return it.Nobody was in the office during business hours. The door was locked.I tried to return it for the next six days. No, one was there. No, one answers the phones here. And so I ended up having to pay for a lock that I didn't need, because no one was in the office to even try to help me or let me return the lock. I then try to call them to answer someone my question and they never answer the phone. I have tried to call several times for multiple days. ... Read more

Do not rent from these guys!!! They somehow took my last review down! They are NOT secure! There are homeless people living in them! Homeless people were bringing in bags of food, hmm can you say roaches and other bugs? Tried to tell the manager but she wouldn’t listen. If you want to go to your unit after 6, they will be closed! No carts are ever available. Smoke alarm beeped the whole time I rented from them. They raised the rent from 80.00 to 120.00 after a couple months. Elevators are slow as hell. Just find another company to store your things at. ... Read more

I had an very pleasant customer service experience when I moved in earlier this week. Let, the woman who was on site that day was extremely helpful in assisting me with an issue I noticed when moving into my unit. The unit in question had a faulty handle. When I relayed my issue to Let, she immediately started looking for another available unit. To my surprise, I was able to upgrade to an even bigger unit, at a really great price! The facility can definitely use some work though. It was very dirty, with discarded belongings strewn around the inside and outside of the building. Hopefully they can hire another worker to clean up the facility while the office worker can assist customers. All in all I loved the customer service here and I am satisfied with my new unit. ... Back when it was cheap to rent here there were many things I would let slide. However, a little less than a year ago they raised the rent. I figured improvements to the property would be made. I was wrong. No improvements were made, in fact, they’re not even keeping up with maintenance, one of the two elevators on the property has been broken for months. Then they raised rent AGAIN. Shame on these property owners and managers, they have no business being in this business, they’re like slumlords. Access to this place is also ridiculous, after 6 on the weekdays and after 5 on weekends you can’t even get in. The carts can rarely be found when needed and it seems like there is never anyone in the office. This place is just bad. Do yourself a favor and rent somewhere else. A little further out Summerlin Parkway is a clean, nice and well lit facility that can be accessed until 9PM, 7 days a week. And the office is staffed. And carts are abundant. And it’s cheaper. There was value at this place when I first rented about 18 months ago, today though it’s a steaming pile of overpriced trash. How TF are you going to raise the rent TWICE in a year and not even keep up on maintenance?! Maybe this review should be a 1 star. ... Read more

Let me start by explaining my one star rating if I could give half a star I would, I was wondering about this place when I first came here 6 months ago by people that were moving out, it is an awful storage facility I have rented many storage facilities and none have been as bad as this one there's been a couple times where I was overdue on my storage rent and had fees added and even my storage locked out which I understand but each time that I paid the late fees and reinstated my storage access they've lied to me about it being fully accessible and sometimes I didn't gain full accessibility until almost a week after paying it after being lied to you on the phone about it being completely accessible I've gone through this a few times with them and I'm just warning everybody considering using this facility to be careful they treat your property like it's theirs ... Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 6601 West Charleston Blvd include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 200 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 6601 West Charleston Blvd start from $28 and can go up to $216 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
