The property management lady here is very dramatic. I went in to drop off some snacks and stuff for the staff up front and she gave off this impression she was weirded out as if I was hitting on her claiming it was strange to her cause she’s the only one that works there which may be accurate right now but there has been two other employees working at the property before. One when I first got signed up and one patrolling property a random day after that. Ignoring the gesture and focusing on talking about her boyfriend like a conceited arrogant weirdo. So I found that nice gesture of mine to be twisted into something it wasn’t. During that moment she also had the audacity to tell me about all the gossip between her and other tenants about others around the property. Made me feel like the staff and tenants are not trustworthy and are dramatic. I’ve been getting harassed by her recently cause I leave my door down a little so people can’t walk in there. I have 10’s of thousands of dollars worth of valuables in there and I’ve had a strange man there walk into my unit several times when I have the door open and I’ve decided to crack my door to prevent him from feeling the urge to just walk in. Now I’m being antagonized over that by the supervisor. I’ve noticed if someone leaves a bad review of a company, that company response with some sort of defensive statement or tries to redeem themselves in front of the people reading the reviews and I’m not going to fall for that. This property does not deserve a good review and I’m starting to get the motivation to look into other properties because being antagonistic and dramatic between people on property is not the way to go about your system. What’s sad is all those managers live on site so it’ll be kind of difficult for owners to take corrective actions when those employees are official due to their housing situation. ... Read more

This place is trash. It's always dirty. There are rodents everywhere. I store an RV here, and while there are plenty of stray cats pooping and peeing on, under, and around it, they do nothing to stop the mice/rats. I keep finding evidence of them inside my RV even though there is no food or anything stored in it. On top of that, this location lies to its customers. They told me originally my rent would be $90, and then 1 month later increased it by $15. Five months later they increased it another $17. Another month and they increased AGAIN by another $18. I hadn't even been there a full year before they increased my rent by 50%!!! Customer service is a joke. They will lie to you about how much they plan on charging. They told me after the 2nd increase it would stay where it was and then the very next month it went up again. They just sent me an email today saying they were increasing it AGAIN!!! It's like they'd rather lose a customer altogether than do right by the customers they currently have. I won't rent from them again. I will tell all my family and friends to avoid them. I would give ZERO STARS if it was an option EDIT: I already spoke AT LENGTH with "customer service" BEFORE I posted this review, giving you ample time to correct these issues before I posted this review. YOUR lack of customer service and professionalism is what led to this review. ... Read more

I am so very thankful that Lois was there on the Saturday that I came in. There was an issue with the account I opened at the beginning of the year and she helped through everything, got me set back up, helped with locks. I ended up coming in and out 3 times that day with little issues, needed a new lock, code wasn't working - nothing at her fault. She stepped in to help with everything regardless. Super friendly and laughed with me along the whole way. Meeting her was a blessing and I was so very thankful for everything she did. ... Read more

This iStorage is an established storage business in Carson City, having been around for many years. The prices are decent and they have some larger units which are harder to find around here. The local store manager Robert is very professional, attentive, and helpful. Robert has kindly helped me with renewals and other needs during my three years as a customer. I'd highly rate this local storage facility and their staff. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at iStorage - 3579 US 50 include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 480 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by iStorage - 3579 US 50 start from $50 and can go up to $588 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
