Read some helpful reviews of Arroyo Del Oso Self Storage at 5880 Osuna Road NE, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I have lived in Albuquerque all my life, and I have never met people who were more helpful or friendlier. I have a serious problem with storage, and the available spaces in Albuquerque are often filthy and are poorly attended in high crime neighborhoods by rude people. Arroyo del Oso was a breath of fresh air. It is in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Albuquerque with a low crime rate. The manager, Andrew, is extremely attentive, helpful and resourceful. Sometimes, I think is more interested in helping me than in making profits. The facility is spotlessly clean; there's not a single piece of trash anywhere. The security system is first rate. Andrew is very security minded. I locked a storage shed open by accident. He called me within a few hours. I have had a lot storage problems, and these people have always been there for me. I give them the highest recommendation. ... Read more

Worst place I’ve ever rented from! Do not waste your money or time here.. I was moving from a storage facility I was at for 5 years straight never had any problems with them except they raised rent pretty high lately so I found this place.. immediately after bringing a quarter of my things in.. I was here for about 3 weeks before I wanted to get the hell out of this storage facility constant harassment every time I went in, which was maybe 4 times in 3 weeks.. I found a new storage across the way and got my things out of this place as fast as I could! I would never recommend to rent from these people! Arroyo del oso!! Awful place ... Read more

I never leave negative reviews but this time I had to. I do not recommend this place. Now I know why the price of the storage unit was cheaper than a few other places. Not only are the units not isolated (opening inside on top connects to unit behind), but the owner was extremely rude. Seriously, not sure if he acted that way to make himself feel better, but he when he literally yelled at me instead of talking like a normal person, I immediately decided I was taking my business elsewhere. I literally only paid one month of rent and moved into another storage which is much better. Not only did he yell at me and say he was my “boss” ??, he yelled at the moving company I hired, and he also yelled at his employee (who was friendly). No employee or customer should be treated that way. Stay away from this place. Trust me it will save you time from relocating to a new location. ... Read more

We have rented RV spaces, as well as storage units, at Arroyo del Oso Storage for many years. The first office staff/managers were good, and we didn't have any complaints. Then, when Lisa and Jon took over as managers, we noticed a marked shift in management. They have provided a much higher level of personal care to customers, as well as a heightened commitment to security that should not be overlooked, especially in these days of increased crime. Some customers may not understand the complexities of running a "tight ship," as the rules have to be strengthened for the good of everyone's benefit. [We have friends in Texas that had their new RV stolen last week because the facility did NOT have an effective security system! A little closer to home, friends that live here in ABQ also had their newer travel trailer vandalized 6 months ago.] All this to say, we send our compliments to Jon and Lisa for all their hard work and diligence. Sounds like a pretty thankless job, but we both appreciate you! ... Read more

I have been renting multiple units here for about 6 years and have only good things to say about the management and the facility. The current managers, Lisa and Jon, have been there about 5 years. They have continually improved the security (which I appreciate) as I have never had one problem. I am there almost on a daily basis and multiple times have seen them stop something from happening. With the security came new rules - like stopping to wait for the gate to close - both on entry and exit to prevent criminals coming in. I have seen people get very hostile towards them when asked to follow the rules. I am confused by the negative reviews as that has not been my experience at all. They are professional and go above and beyond keeping it safe, clean, and a good place to do business. I highly recommend Arroyo Del Oso storage. ... Read more

Had to move entire storage unit due to new hostile management staff. My parents have paid on a storage unit here for 1-2 years, I never met the owners that they spoke to. The place seems to be under new management. When we went in to it for the first time in about a year, a new guy told us we had to leave since it was after hours even though the owners had given us a 24 hour access code. We finished up and left. A few days later we went back to complete what we had started, and the new manager lady first called my grandpa about us being there, who called us, and we told him yes we were there. Then the lady brought the new guy and they proceeded to cite rules and how we were in violation of them even though we were just rearranging things. They got in an argument with my parents and the new manager people banned my dad from being there and refused to let anyone except my Grandpa to work with them or even pay the bill (they were trying to default on the contract and just sell the stuff that was there). My grandpa, 75 and still in recovery from ongoing necrotic pneumonia, ended up having to go from Rio Rancho to this place to pay the bill and unload the unit with my mother of the first load and the new sadistic managers were very pleased with this. I ended up going in and helping my mom get everything else out and over to U Stor It which is much CHEAPER, and much more pleasant (I know the manager there). The owner of this Arroyo del oso place is nowhere to be found, they have no web presence except their little site, they seem to have a bunch of empty lots for some "mysterious" reason under this new management, and I noticed they were closing some other units and presumably doing the same thing to them. Avoid this place at all costs, not worth it to work with these terrible people until the owner intervenes and fires these managers. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Arroyo Del Oso Self Storage - 5880 Osuna Road NE include the following amenities: Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Enclosed and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
