When calling for a storage unit I had no idea what to expect. I have had such bad experiences with anything involving customer service. To my pleasant surprise a kind and charismatic woman answered the phone she introduced herself as Stephanie. Stephanie was helpful and quick to accommodate myself and my boyfriend. Stephanie was at the Montgomery location and was quick to accommodate us offering to drive to the Cardenas location where we were hoping to acquire our storage unit. I did not get the impression like her job was just a paycheck to her.Caring for people as individuals in an effortless and nonjudgmental manner came naturally to her. A few times I had to change the size of my unit and the inconveniences to her did not change her mood or the atmosphere. Which consistently stayed positive and friendly. We need more people like Stephanie in Customer service positions. I would recommend anyone looking to get a storage unit to rent one from aaa ulockitstorage it based on my experience with Stephanie alone. ... Read more

This company is something else every a couple of months they will raise your rent by $20 it's not a lot but it's enough and they will threaten you to pay by saying there gonna auction it off but haven't done the proper procedures to do so the staff is very rude and lately I haven't been able to get into the gate to access my storage unit. I can't wait until I can get my stuff out of there so I don't have to deal with them anymore. ... Read more

Yes it would be great if they didn't close at 6 in the winter and otherwise 7-7, and Sundays would be great, but the staff (Alma and Alyssa) are so helpful and the prices beat Extra Space etc, that they are a wonderful choice. :-) ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at AAA U-Lock-It Self Storage - 1417 Cardenas Road SE include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Gate, Credit Cards Accepted and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
