I am so appreciative for the impressive customer service that I received from Ann and staff at this location. She was not only always professional but also helpful while assisting with me and my friend’s storage needs. I highly recommend them! Thank you. ... Read more

Julian is a bully and just yells at customers. Do not use this place unless you like being intimidated. The people in Santa Fe who own it seem nice - but they are far away and don't keep an eye on what Julian is up to. ... Read more

The employee turn over is unreal. You constantly speak to someone different. Back in September I made a payment as I was a little behind on my rent. Someone reversed the payment which A1 storage didn't catch nor did I see a reversal of charges. November I received a phone call informing me that my account showed a $40 deficit and that the payment I made in Sept had been reversed. If I didn't make the payment within a week I would have a $10 late fee. I have a very limited income and have health issues. Every penny counts! In October I went in to the office at A1 to make my payment for Oct. and told them I am going to start cleaning out my unit because I just can't afford the $90. Payment. They didn't say anything to me at that point about oweing money. However they had a lock on my unit and had to remove their lock so I could get in. I took one load and 2 weeks later they informed me that I still owe them $40. And placed the lock back on my unit. A1 has sent me an email telling me I still owe them... they email and call me on a weekly basis sometimes more. They have raised my rent and that $40 keeps accruing late fees. I understand they are a business not a charity. This was their fault for recersing my payment and not informing me. I need to get my belongings out of this place and cant. I do NOT recommend A1 they have very bad business practices. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at A-1 Self Storage - 9181 Coors Blvd NW include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate and Credit Cards Accepted. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 600 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by A-1 Self Storage - 9181 Coors Blvd NW start from $48 and can go up to $339 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
