The company itself is like any other company. Big corporate that doesn’t really care about its existing customers. I have a private account with them and I switched to a business account. It’s different entity. They couldn’t give me the promo price because I’m an existing customer but they charged me extra fees they charge a new customers. So for discount I’m a current customer but for fees I’m a new one! Great way to go guys! The only reason that I still keep my business there is Julius from Rochelle Park. They have Extra Storage place right next to it but I decided to stay because he was very friendly, professional, nicest that you can get. Also took care of my switch very fast and in general helped me a lot. The dissonance between such an amazing employee to such a greedy corporate blow my mine. Way to go Julius! ... Read more

My friend and I had the pleasure of being assisted by Julius the other day . He did an excellent job in answering all of our questions and also gave us a follow up call to makesure we were satisfied with the service he provided . I have to say that the customer service that he provided surpassed our expectations . I think Julius is a very genuine and professional person who represents Public storage very well . I would definitely recommend you to stop by and ask for Julius. You will not be disappointed. ... Read more

I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience at Public Storage in Rochelle Park. I got stuck in their broken elevator, and instead of offering a sincere apology or help, I was offered $25 and told to be grateful—as if my safety and time weren’t worth more. I was shocked at the lack of empathy and professionalism. Later, when I emptied my unit, I was told it wasn’t clean and would be charged $75, even though I offered to clean it myself. When I went back, the unit was full of someone else’s belongings—meaning I wasn’t even the last person to use it. Despite this, I was treated with suspicion, told they’d need to “check the cameras,” and I still haven’t received a clear answer. Now I might have to go back again just to prove my point and waste more of my time. The rudeness and lack of accountability from the staff made me feel humiliated and dismissed. This has been a truly awful experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone. ... Read more

So far, great. But I have had this unit less than a month Online setup was easy They only seem to have 4 carts available. Most of the time, that’s plenty. But if you happen to hit a rush, you may need to wait And we have found them abandoned in the building, occasionally, rather than being returned. The gate and the door have broken - but in both cases, they had a repair company there very quickly. The app to unlock this is pretty good - once I learned that the two elevators are different buttons in the app, but the entry gate uses the same button to go in or out, even though the app has 2 buttons. ... Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 200 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 168 State Route 17 North start from $66 and can go up to $217 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
