Highly upset with my sister’s situation at this storage after I myself have recommended her here. I have recommended everyone of my family here even after I had a semi negative experience two years ago, with a staff member who even cursed at me. and I kept referring people. Now my sister falls behind on her storage unit and when she contacted the company last week before leaving out of New Jersey that same day , she is told that she had until the end of the month October 31, to pay before she went into auction. So she thought she had a little more time to work with and left New Jersey back home. 5-6 hours later, Chris who she had spoke to calls her back and tells her that he was sorry and gave her false information and that her auction was in three days. Once your in auction you cannot pay with credit card only CASH. We had already left the state. So we ended up asking my daughter to buy the storage at the auction so my sister wouldn’t loose her things because a STORE manager was incapable of informing her at a first contact phone call the correct information. On the website at the auction it states that the bidder can either clean out the unit or lease it, and now they are denying my daughter to lease the unit and telling her she has 48 hours to get the things out. We have requested to speak to higher management by both contacting the location directly and their other contact numbers on the website for a call center. NO ONE in two days has bothered to return the calls and address the customers as proper customer service from a higher upper level should provide. And Chris the suppose store manager because we were told by the call center that the store manager was Josue but Chris says he doesn’t know who that is, and Chris is the only one calling to communicate what he says was explained to him, but a customer isn’t being contacted by escalated management. Chris has called to threaten that if we don’t remove the things by tomorrow 12noon they will give the auction to the next bidder. We been trying to speak to management because due to the circumstances and false information we had already left the state and my daughter cannot alone empty the unit. So we wanted to ask for either a couple of extra days to go down and empty the storage and move to the Cubesmart down the street or originally and preferably let my daughter lease the unit under her name. Honestly this has been a headache and stress for all the family members who are trying to help each other for being put into a inconvenient situation. According to Chris my sister neglected her storage unit, but it’s always good to talk without knowing the reasons behind a situation, without knowing that we had been involved in a car accident and we were not able to work or move freely due to damages to our body and mental health, because being involved in a car crash especially when not your fault does take a toll on your life. It’s not even necessary for me to express our personal reasons because no one should have to put their personal information out but for the sake of understanding I’m relating all the information. What’s even more upsetting is that management is contacting Chris at the store but not calling their customers when a request has been sent multiple times. The customer service lacks horribly and to be honest I will say that the only one that has customer service at this location and goes out of her way for customers is Sabrina, I hope she finds a better job at a better facility because they are dragging her down with them. Sabrina’s customer service skills is amazing, she does take the time to understand customers, and help them out all the way, unfortunately she is out on vacation, we were informed by Chris who says he is working alone.
