Read some helpful reviews of SpareBox Storage at 110 South Main Street, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

The operator was great, but the online web site should have it so you can add your checking account , not just a credit card. Then I would have not had to call the Sparebox storage office. Thank you DEJ was a great help , she is a life saver for me , thank you so much DEJ for your great job ... Read more

This is the worst management I have ever seen. Th owners before were great people and I was being charged $100 for my unit. It’s not temp controlled, no lights and no special amenities. Now that spare box has owned it, they have raised my rent 3 times and is at a whopping $243! This is completely absurd. I mean you can barely drive into the place the tar is so bad. Also my grandmothers unit was broken into. The insurance they make you get won’t pay a dime. The cops also said there wasn’t a camera. When I went to look at her unit, which I have stuff in, there is a camera pointed right at her unit. Rochester cops suck also unless they are in cahoots with spare box and the insurance company. Don’t ever rent from this place. As soon as I have room, I’m getting rid of my unit and will definitely never, ever rent from them again. Please beware. Definitely rip offs! ... Read more

7/22/2023: I started renting again and it hasn't changed and it's been clean! I ended up upgrading to a 10x10 and the customer service rep was absolutely helpful! ***ORIGINAL REVIEW*** Nathaniel and Nicole was super helpful in getting my place setup. I had a small issue and needed to move to a new space but Nathaniel took care of the issue promptly. Very professional services that's rare to find these days. Thank you so much! The space is very clean as pictured and the gated property is a big plus. The price is awesome compared to others ?? ... Read more

If you rent here you will get to know Rochester's homeless community as alot of THEM LIVE IN UNITS HERE!!! Regardless that this is a FEDERAL crime! All my belongings smell like smoke now as the tenants were smoking in their units. Cooking, sleeping. I had 4 units across Rochester and have moved all my stuff to Bluebird. It's a little more expensive but I don't have to deal with homeless people. ... Read more

Im not going to lie its a little creepy knowing what happen here and the storage unit is still busted open and everything still falling out of it. But other then that the place is nice its clean fenced in with barbwire, you need a code to get in the gate and a code to leave as well as a different code to get inside the buildings if your storage happens to be inside. Plus 50% off for two months when you sign up. Only thing i do not understand is why on earth i pay for insurance through your establishment when it literally doesnt cover anything - no water, fire or earth quake damage, no theft by any random person or employees of the company. No on site anyone and it takes forever to get customer service on the phone but other then the few flaws its not bad for a temporary situation. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at SpareBox Storage - 110 South Main Street include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Unstaffed Location, Kiosk Available, Parking and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 400 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by SpareBox Storage - 110 South Main Street start from $74 and can go up to $259 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
