Over the past 2 to 3 months now, I have been trying to move out of my storage unit, I already moved out all of my belongings but the app would not update the move out. So low and behold I am being charged a move out fee and a "insufficient funds fee". I don't have insufficient funds and they have been charging me with these kinds of fees over the past few months, resulting it hundreds of dollars taken out of my account. I will also note that the app kept turning off my auto pay by it self. I have called the office and either get a robot or immediately get transfered to someone else who just repeats themselves over and over without actually trying to help or solve anything. I liked this storage place at first, but after this bad experience, I've never going to them again. They are purposefully misleading on the phone and app, I'm extremely frustrated. ... Read more

The facility is fine, but, so are many storage units in the area. The service from the local office to the corporate office is lacking a key ingredient, customer service and support. I updated information on their app and it caused all kinds of problems. No one at Public Storage was helpful or kind. The 800 number is basically only to make a payment. Two tries, waiting for over 30 minutes on each attempt, resulted in no live person answering the phone. Also, without any notice or recourse, the price was increased by 25% after 5 months. Originally paying $95.00 increased to $131. Called the local office and they said it is out of their control. Could put in an online request for a reduction request. It was sent and immediately received a text message declining the request. No text or email about rate increase and no information about who to contact. So unhappy with the lack of service and how quick the local office is to dismiss themself from the process and send the customer into the wormhole of apps and 800 numbers with automated options. Beware of this if you need to store your belongings for more than a couple of months. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 18175 Emiline Street include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Security Camera, Gate, Kiosk Available, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 350 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 18175 Emiline Street start from $28 and can go up to $193 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
