Is the staff Very helpful friendly. Recommend things if you ask them many questions. They usually have answers like Put your palates first on the floor then you're stuck on top of the palettes because it might rain real heavy and some water might come in, so you're protected like 45 inches higher than the ground itself. That was very, very help you with. What size you need? How much stuff you get and I'll tell you you. I mean, just totally awesome people. The gentleman who works there. I see him cleaning up a wreck on Ell street with nobody around, and I stopped to ask if he was okay and he thanked me for that. So I mean he's cool, dude. ... Read more

Dont use this storage. I moved out of storage over 2 months ago and they recently charged me again because they didnt process it after i spoke with both of them. I switched from a $70 dollar unit 4 days before (20th) my unit is charged but they always charged me on the 16th. I switched to a smaller unit before the 20th but I was already charged $70. After I switched I decided to sell and give away my storage items so I had the small unit for 1 week. THEY DID NOT PROCESS WHEN I MOVED OUT. I was told I would be reimbursed $35 for the extra month I didnt use but was not. Now they just charged me again for the small unit. Now they say I have $50 refund that should be $70. This business is bad when it comes to communicating and processing anything. NOT FRIENDLY like some of the lies on here suggest, and obviously crooks. Why would someone flip out just because you try to remind them what you were told. She yelled and denied everything. LIES! Id give 0 STARS if I could. ... Read more

PLEASE READ: Normally a good storage facility when dealing with the Woman, always felt like I had to walk on eggshells around the Man. They will sometimes work with you if you are late, some others they won't. Today I received a phone call that I needed to pay my past due account by Friday to get caught up or the unit would be sold. When I called to see the amount which I can now pay, after a hard couple of months during the Holidays, I was told to pay approximately 2/3 and be out by Friday! I live in Florida and that's impossible to do that quick! So he refused to accept full payment for continued storage as stated in the initial message left (I saved that message) and was strong-armed into giving up my unit so he could sell it! I have Call Recorder on my phone (and I saved that conversation as well). I appreciate them working with renters', but that was out of line. My unit is one of the largest ones and I've had it for years. He knows it's full of good stuff. The obvious impression is he wants it for his sale or to rummage through it. Don't rent from this place if you have a lot of valuables and you might be late. Richard R ... Read more

I have done business here long term with both rental of a storage unit and outside storage of RVs & cars without issue. Staff has always been friendly and understanding of my needs. Prices were reasonable 15 yrs ago and with moderate inflationary fee increases over the years, remain so today IMHO. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at L Street Self Storage - 6959 L Street include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 600 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by L Street Self Storage - 6959 L Street start from $40 and can go up to $325 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
