We rented 2 units. They are very secure with code entry gates as well as the owner walks the property and double checks on the units for added security. They are very professional and amazing to work with. Thank you Valerie. ... Read more

My mother rents a unit. She stores a lot of my things. The previous storage place was not accessible after 8 pm, was very dirty because they did not have the guards on the bottom like outasight does. The door had been bent up and half the time it would not even roll down. Also mice, moisture and blowing dirt had gotten into the cardboard boxes. We don’t have that problem now. The owners maintain the property very well and it is very secure. They care about their renters. ... Read more

Fine facility, until I returned to my unit to find mouse poop everywhere. In the facility’s lease, they state that they cannot be held liable for any property loss or damage. Most insurance policies exclude loss or damage to items due to pests or vermin. So here I am left to figure out how to disinfect any items that may be salvageable, and how to transport and dispose of ruined items. Mice can carry diseases such as hantavirus that can be fatal to humans. Still trying to figure out how to handle the situation. Only response from management when notified of the problem was to check my renters policy, and that they have mouse poison located throughout the property, and how to put in my notice of lease termination should I decide to do so. Storage units are unfortunately prone to mouse infestation I get that. However, management doesn’t seem to care enough to do anything about it. If there’s mice infesting your units that don’t have anything stored that mice would be attracted to, your mouse poison located throughout the property is insufficient. Just disappointed is all. ... Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Outta Sight Storage - 6065 North 2nd Avenue include the following amenities: 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
