Wonderful people! Rebecca helped me tremendously getting set up in my unit. She took care of all my needs and went above and beyond for me! John has done a great job helping me out with some questions too. Overall this is an emaculate location! I love the climate control unit I have. Price is very reasonable and the process to rent was very smooth. I started with a 10×15 and upgraded to a 10×20 very easily with no hassle. I purchased the box package deal they had to help me organize some things in my unit. ?? Not one complaint about this place. I could sit and talk to Mrs. Rebecca for hours, she is such a down to earth person ?? and Jonathan and John have done a great job helping me out with anything I've asked for as well. I'm so grateful for all their help ???? ... Read more

Storage Max Flora is wonderful! I've been with them for a while now and have not had any problems. This past weekend, I decided to clean some things out of storage. Since I had not been up there in a really long time and since it's been super hot lately, I took some wasp spray with me, just in case. My experience with other storage facilities in the past has been that it's hard to keep those irritating wasps out of the storage buildings. (For reference, my unit is just a small one, not the climate-controlled ones.) At Storagemax though, there were no problems! I was so relieved and happy to see there were no wasps. Everything was clean and was exactly as I had left it. The biggest plus to StorageMax Flora though, is they have the best staff! There have been a few times in the past when I needed to make my payment a day or so later than scheduled. It has never been a problem. All I had to do was contact them to let them know and they would make a note of it. (Of course, I already knew there is a small fee for paying late, but sometimes you just have no choice.) They were always willing to work with me though and never gave me any issues at all. I really appreciate how they are always kind, considerate and extremely helpful. It has been a great experience! If you are looking for a great storage facility and even if you don't live directly in the Flora area, trust me, it's worth the drive. :-) Highly, highly recommend them! ... Read more

Storage max has made it easy to store my personal belongings. I felt secure in the knowledge that my belongings were protected and stored in a secure facility protected from any climate. I would definitely recommend them and use them again for any future storage needs. Edit: I have had to cancel my move out date a couple of times and Rebecca was very helpful and understanding to my situation. I would definitely use storage max again and refer others to them. Thank you again for such a great experience. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at StorageMax - 173 1st Street include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Security Camera, Gate, Parking and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
