They don't know how to take care of the units there was a fire in Wichita last year not rebuild yet people get into the yards and break in the cameras are painted so they don't see what's going on and they call people and scare them and then call and tell them they need to get there stuff out because they can't secure the unit and then turn around and send a txt oh by the way your Unit is secured now after been told you need to get your stuff then because they don't have enough help they lock you out of a different unit because the one's are not checked started out at 114.00 and by the time it was done I was at153.00 with no notice I would not recommend these units at all to anyone. ... Website showed in big bold letters 24/7 365 and that was far from accurate! Property manager stated they do not have 24 hour access due to break-ins and units being robbed!!! My unit had a busted drywall back wall and a hole in the ceiling larger than 2 basketballs, the light switch was hanging by loose wires so all and all I asked for my money back! This place is a joke!! Shut them down and demo the units they are ran down! ... Read more

If I could give a 0 rating I would. Thankfully the unit is not in my name so I won't get harassed. This place is the worst storage unit we've ever experienced or seen. There are homeless people that live in them. 3 different units that I know of people are living in. You can't access your unit after 7 pm mon-sat and 5:30 pm on Sunday. The weekend is when people usually move! So why would you not allow access until at least 10 pm or midnight?? People pay for those units we should be able to access them. Now there's homeless people in there roaming around and someone broke my lock off but couldn't get it open! It was reported and red dot just said...well they didn't steal anything. How about you do something about this?! No one has EVER been in the office. It's never used. Half the time the gate doesn't work and you can't get in! My husband missed a side job because he couldn't access his stuff in the unit! DO NOT use this place! ... Read more

This place does not have a on site manager . The camera wires have all been cut and just about every other storage unit has been broken in to and no one there to stop them ,trash is everywhere . Some homeless people live in the units . I wished I could have seen this before I rented this storage unit it’s sad that I have to check on my unit twice a day to see if my stuff is safe . ... It would be great if a customer could actually view the units in advance of paying for it and signing a contract. Forced to rent through a kiosk , after a bit of a hassle for a gate code, I entered the storage area, only to find despite my renting a 5'x10' unit, the actual opening/entrance to my unit was less than 4' wide, too small for what I wanted to store, Because of the brick facade. I called Red Dot, they did can my contract and refund my money. Yes, you have to pay before you see the unit you contracted for. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Storage Rentals of America - 9651 St Charles Rock Road include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Unstaffed Location, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 150 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Storage Rentals of America - 9651 St Charles Rock Road start from $16 and can go up to $141 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
