I am not happy to have my rent increase by 33% after only two months of starting my storage. The come on price was 104.00 per month, that lasted for two payments, then it jumped to 154.00 per month. That seems to be just a way to get you in their facility, because most people don't want to be constantly moving their belongings. ... Read more

They’ll raise your rage by 50% after the first month. We paid $80 in June and by July we got a notice that rates were going to $140 per month. Did a separate quote this morning and rates were still $80. Despite being told that this was a market adjustment. Complete scam ... Read more

Awesome customer service!! I moved into the wrong unit! Only reason for 4 stars - They were not marked well at all!! You could not read the letters/numbers. But when I tried moving more things, they were newly marked. So that’s when I realized I was in the wrong unit. They had another pad lock on that one & I couldn’t get in but they allowed me to switch units! I just have to wait til Tues when the manager comes & unlocks it. ... Read more

The facility is nice, but they often do rate hikes. I had an average rate for a large unit, compared to other facilities I checked with at the time. But around month 6, they hiked the rate by $40 in a single month! Once when we were at our unit, a guy was moving his stuff out. He said he was tired of the rate hikes, and that at that point, he was just going to donate all the old office furniture he was storing from when he shut down his business. He said it was constantly being increased and it just wasn't worth it anymore. I wasn't sure if it might be from when the company bought the facility, so I didn't worry too much. But then I got a letter in December notifying me of the rate hike for January and I knew he was right about the company. When I called to cancel my unit, I asked about the huge hike and was told that it was a normal hike after the "introductory" rate. And I'm not talking about the special they run. They apparently consider the online pricing after any specials run out to be an introductory rate, and claimed that it was normal for that rate to go up after whatever their "introductory timeframe" is. However, I've rented storage units often over the years and NEVER had one who raised my rate even once. They told me that they raised it because others in the area were higher. But as I looked for other units, I didn't see any places who were charging near that much unless they were climate control. In fact, I found a facility close to there, am only giving up 2 ft of width, and I'm paying $85 less per month. And this place actually has someone on site in case of any issues. So, yes, KO is nice, but they lure you in with a decent price, then start the rate hikes to jump you way over market value, probably in hopes that you would rather part with the money instead of putting in the time and effort to move to a reasonably priced facility that doesn't do rate hikes. In fact, a friend who is storing a food truck at a different KO location isn't getting any rate hikes. Maybe it's too easy to move something taking only a parking space, so they only target the storage units? I'm not sure. But I don't recommend KO anymore because I find this practice to be deceptive. ... Read more

Rented unit entirely online on a Sunday night, 8am Monday morning the unit was clean and ready to go. Unit door is a little stiff, but for the price it's still 5 star in my opinion. Good access, clean and paved facility, clean unit, AND inexpensive.... update 4 months later, storage rent went up $50 a month for our 10x20. Still 5 star storage facility though. ... Read more

They do not care they only want to squeeze you for every dime they can. This company recently bought the Joey's self storge I was renting a unit from since then they made it an unstaffed site and increased my rent by nearly 80%. My advice go find a decent storge lot that's locally owned and save some money. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at KO Storage - 3108 South Golden Avenue include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Unstaffed Location, Parking, Enclosed, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 456 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by KO Storage - 3108 South Golden Avenue start from $60 and can go up to $87 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
