If I could give zero stars I would, absolutely terrible management! We owed over $200 because no one was ever there to accept our payment, the manager told us we had to be signed on with them for four months to even pay online via a portal. When you get behind on a payment you're locked out from the property, yeah they have a drop box for money orders, BEHIND a locked gate, and they never answered the phone to give a dummy code to even drop off payments. You can never get a hold of any one while they are open during business hours, much less via email; and when you receive a voicemail to call back they still won't answer. The property and units are old and ran down, nails were everywhere near our unit. Absolutely terrible management and business in general. ... Read more

Talked to the owner about why my code wasn’t working and got through by using 1234#. She said that I didn’t pay. I told her I came in and paid with cash as I have many times before and they only take money orders. The one time I didn’t ask for a receipt. She told me that my code was back and activated and she believed that I did pay. Went to drop off this months money order that’s due and STILL don’t have access with MY code and disabled the other back up I used. Can’t get ahold of anybody. Never reached out to me about my unit and how “I didn’t pay”. Can’t get to the office because it’s behind the gate! Pretty sure money was pocketed because then where did my money go?! Afraid my things will be auctioned off because of a major mistake on their end! Left voice messages before and they never call back! ... Read more

My unit was broken in to and had several things stolen and nearly every box torn in to. The wire mesh which serves as a ceiling was cut and someone dropped right down in to my unit and ripped me off. This means that someone who has a key to another unit did this. It seems like it would have been fairly easy to figure out who the perpetrator was by viewing surveillance footage and looking at the entry/exit records. However, management seemed disinterested in helping me and there is also is not a camera pointing at the row of units where mine was located. I was asked to contact the police, which I did. Furthermore the 2 units I had at different times let water in which was never addressed. After my unit was compromised I was told it would be repaired, never was so I got out as soon as possible. Bad bad business, avoid at all costs. ... Read more

The parking lot is a drainage ditch. The units are in rough condition, doors hard to open and mice running around. I lost 100 dollars to get move into a bigger unit from a small one because the woman in the office handles things poorly. Its impossible to get ahold of them. Whether that be paying the bill or trying to get a different or bigger unit. I called 2 weeks in advance and she said nothing about being out. Planned to have a truck come and all of the sudden she's out and won't answer the phone. Called and called with no response. Finally got ahold of me and got the unit number. On the day I'm moving into it, It's locked and she won't answer again. I went somewhere else and Got in immediately. Called to get my money back and she still hasn't answered me. Still no contact, no answer to texts or calls or voice-mail 2 weeks after move. ... Read more

Absolutely terrible business. They never answer the phone. At any time of day. You have to call the emergency line. And then they say they will take your request and have it reviewed. And then someone will call you back. But no one ever does. I want to cancel my automatic payment but I can't get ahold of anyone, so they are essesentially holding my credit card hostage. Will NEVER do business with anyone associated with this place. ... Read more

I have had my stuff in this storage unit from February to November. I went to get my stuff out of my storage unit last weekend and found a green lock on my storage unit. I was up to date on my payments and there was no reason for me to have a lock on my unit. It was on a Saturday and the office was closed. I had already paid for a uhaul to move my stuff out on that day and did not have the money to keep the uhaul until Monday. I returned the uhaul and called the office of the storage unit on Monday when they were open. The girl who answered the phone even admitted to me that it was their mistake and there was no reason for me to have a lock on my unit. They offered to pay for half of my next months rent but I wasn’t planning on staying for the next month. Hence why I paid for a uhaul. By this time it was ten days past the day that I needed to give my 30 days notice to move my stuff out and the storage unit offered to give me my deposit back if I had my stuff out by the 19th. I had my stuff out by the 15th. I was planning on going back and cleaning the storage unit out on the 16th and when I called the office on the 16th the manager informed me that she already cleaned out my unit and because she had to clean it I would not be getting my deposit back. Even though I had until the 19th. Even though I still had 3 more days to return and clean it and now I’m out the money that I spent on a uhaul plus my deposit that they offered to return to me for their mistake of putting a lock on my unit when there was no reason for it. The manager cut me off on the phone when I called to explain to her that I was coming in to clean my unit, she was very rude and angry sounding, cut me off in mid sentence and didn’t even give me a chance to tell her that I had plans on coming back and cleaning it out. Over the last year that I had my stuff in storage here, they changed employees multiple times, messed up my payment dates to where I was getting “third and final notifications” on a late payments without ever having had an initial notification. Their office hours kept changing according to their “employees school schedule” and the hours reflected on their website did not always match up to the actual hours they were open. I will NEVER be doing business with this business again and I will let everyone know that needs their business to look elsewhere for a more respectful, consistent, reliable, and honest service. ... Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Eastgate Mini-Storage - 3627 East Sunshine Street include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Security Camera, Gate and Parking. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Eastgate Mini-Storage - 3627 East Sunshine Street start from $55 and can go up to $135 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
