I can't express enough gratitude for the exceptional service provided by this family-owned storage unit! For nearly three years, they have been the guardians of my belongings, ensuring their safety and security with unwavering dedication. From the very beginning, their prices have been remarkably reasonable, consistently below market rates. This financial consideration has been a significant relief, especially given the rising costs of storage services elsewhere. One of the standout qualities of this storage facility is their unmatched flexibility. They understand that life is unpredictable, and circumstances change. The management has always been accommodating and understanding, working with me to find solutions that best fit my needs. Above all, it's the kind and wonderful management that sets this storage unit apart. The family running the business exemplifies genuine care and professionalism. Every interaction has been marked by their warmth, courtesy, and a sincere desire to provide the best service possible. I wholeheartedly recommend this storage unit to anyone in need of a secure and reliable space for their belongings. Thank you to the fantastic team behind this family-owned gem for making my storage experience not only stress-free but genuinely pleasant. They have truly earned my trust and appreciation! ... Ideal location however monthly price continues to rise with only a quick email notification. I have had a unit for almost 10 years and my monthly cost has doubled. I appreciate the security but wish access was available outside of the 6am to 10pm range. I have been told by an employee if you are their after 10pm, the gates will lock you and you have to wait (sometimes 2 hours) for security to arrive. ... Read more

I only used this place one time but i had the best experience possible with a storage facility. It was after hours and I could not get the door to open on my unit. So I called their support number and they had someone out to help me within 30 minutes, remind you this was all after business hours as well! Highly recommend this place for any storage needs! ... Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at A-1 Chestnut Self Storage - 515 North Prince Lane include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Security Camera and Gate. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
