Was broken into between October 13 and 15. I called on the 15th, got no answer. Left a message, no call back. Sent detailed message from contact page on their website, no response. Finally reached a human on the 16th. All she could do, she said, was make an entry in their tracker. She said the maintenance person would do a walk-through on Friday. Police officer did come right out to fill out a report and take photos. She, the call center person, said she couldn't give me the contact information for the local maintenance person. He did call me back, on the weekend while I was out of town. He tried to help, but said they wouldn't allow him to spend funds to fix the door, though he was able to jerry rig a makeshift latch which I could put a lock on. Since then I have heard nothing from them about finding me another unit with a working door, fixing this one, or making any arrangements. Thus the problems inherent in out of state ownership of local resources. Clearly, service to their customers is not their priority. ... Read more

Yes I'm wanting to know y we all pay to have insurance on r unit ,but when my unit has been broken into multiple times and I have 2 holes in the roof in my unit and got really bad water damage to a 30year old cedar chest that now is in pieces and can't be replaced and I made a police report about my unit and the police officer told me that them cameras don't even work half the time because they run on solar panels, I promise you for a fact that a lot of renters with units down there probably don't even know yet about there units being broken into and missing things , and it's funny how your maintenance man seems to know what your renters have in there units, and tell me y when we r late on payment r lock is cut off first before u put a red lock on the unit, and I know by Law in Missouri u can still put a red lock on in the other hole , that your not post to cut r lock off until auction day , so how do I file a claim for my unit since I do pay my insurance for it to be protected..sorry bout all this but Everytime I call I get hung up on when I ask about my claim. ... Not secure and clean, customer service representative was a bully, but the second time was good. I uploaded the emails and got two of the three refunds. They took unauthorized money out of my account. No more dealings. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at KO Storage - 1344 South Bishop Avenue include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Unstaffed Location, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 100 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by KO Storage - 1344 South Bishop Avenue start from $44 and can go up to $145 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
