This is the first time I’ve ever had to rent a storage unit and I cannot tell you how wonderful my experience was at the location off of 350 Highway in Raytown Missouri. The gentleman working at the front desk was very helpful and make sure that I got the proper sized Unit that was needed to store my belongings. The app makes it extremely easy to enter and exit. The units are all very clean and the property is very well taken care of. 10 out of 10!! ... Read more

Was told second month would be free. But teller setup account wrong and put me in wrong unit then had to transfer me to correct unit. Which voided out the promo, which they didn't tell me about. They also setup autopay wothout telling me and tried to charge for both units. ... Read more

All your special thanks to the manager Edward at the public storage in raytown I've had some issues and he's always been very kind and patient to help me get through the problems I've had with my account and he's very knowledgeable and a very good person I enjoy his company whenever we get a chance to chat you guys need more people like Edward in the past there been some employees here that were very very mean and condescending and talked to customers as if we were lesser people but I wanted to say thank you Edward ... When I rented my space it was $250 a month. A year and a half later it was $308 a month. Nice secure place, but way too expensive to store some junk. Going to have to look for a cheaper place. Updated review one month later. Thank you to public storage for working with me on the price of my unit and getting the price back down close to where it started when I rented the unit. I would recommend public storage to anyone looking for storage in the Kansas City Raytown area. ... Read more

Very terrible experience with my time & money. I got to the location & there was no manager on site to direct me to my storage unit. The storage unit listed on my rental contract showed 6 digits, which there were no storage units at the location with 6 digits. I called customer service numerous times & received no help. One representative sent an email to the manager & told me to just wait. Mind you I had movers sitting outside of the storage waiting for 2 hours which cost me more money. The customer service representatives were extremely dismissive & could not direct me to my storage unit. One representative told me that I could possibly only receive a partial refund which I argued that this was completely unfair due to them neglecting to get me into my storage unit. I had to end up going to a completely different company just to store my items. Mind you it was freezing cold outside with snow everywhere. Hours upon hours later that evening, I finally got a call back from the property manager who referred me to his boss (whom he had no clue what his name was), to provide my refund. He did not reach out to his boss for me but just provided me with a number. I’ve called the number 913-888-0388 so many times & have left countless messages with no return call & no full refund. I would not recommend you waste your money nor time on this company. Extremely poor service & they are willing to take your money but not fulfill the rental obligations. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 9624 East 350 Hwy include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 240 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 9624 East 350 Hwy start from $23 and can go up to $135 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
