STAY AWAY!!!!!!!! Worst storage experience ever. Office has a sign saying it isn't an office and call a call center number for help. Supposed to be 24 hour access but my code has never once worked at any time of day even after calling and having it changed. I took some things into the unit the first time I came because the two main doors were propped open, but now I can't get in to get my stuff back. My unit was also right next to where the inside of the office should be and I could hear a dog there on the other side of the door so somebody is in there. The indoor ramps are steep and dangerous. Everything about this place is horrible. ... Read more

Horrible and unprofessional staff. Also it's not 24/7 access. It's been documented and unfortunately nothing has been done about this issue but 50% of the time your code to the gate won't work. Day or night. Very disappointed since couple years back this place was decent. Now, whoever the manager is, has been deliberately running this place into the ground. And we are out of here. ... Anyone looking for indoor storage units…AVOID KO Storage. I moved my stuff in April 2021 and the unit was $150 a month. The rent continued to raise and I was finally able to move my stuff out in February 2025 and the price was $252. They continue to raise prices knowing you’re stuck with your stuff in the unit. They claim they are making improvements. In the time I have been there, the only thing that has changed is they built outdoor storage units. That’s what you fund. They closed several access points to the building, had the worst moving carts that never got fixed or replaced, and were bought by a company managed in Minnesota. If you have an issue, you call and you may get a call back within the day or have someone come to the location if you’re lucky. The absolute worst facility ever. If you need a wonderful storage unit for 1/3 of the price…go to the new UHAUL in Ozark. They have climate controlled and regular indoor units. They are clean, have staff on site, bathrooms, and carts that work. Steer clear of KO storage!! ... Read more

I am a 78-year-old man and I am not text. Abby, your maintenance manager was there and he helped me through the whole process. He was so professional and I greatly appreciated his help. Your facilities are clean, secure and well organized. Thank you very much. ... Read more

Not sure why my rent was raised 40 dollars. My unit is small. Y'all are frauds. I'm paying way too much for what I have. Plus you broke my lock and expect me to drive 4 hours away to replace it. I can understand why you broke it but still. If I come that far I'm collecting my things and ending ties with a place that raises the cost because they can. 0/10 don't recommend ... Read more

Disappointed would be an understatement. Before you go saying you contacted me about the increase you in fact did not. I shouldn't be paying $99 for a 5x5 unit. That's highway robbery. I was paying 59 a month for over a year. I can't get my things out of my unit at the moment because I live out of town 4 hours away and work crazy hours. Do not rent from them. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at KO Storage - 601 East South Street include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Kiosk Available, Parking and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by KO Storage - 601 East South Street start from $27 and can go up to $209 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
