Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 6650 Troost Avenue, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Hello My name is Christia Goolsby and I recently obtained a storage unit and was new to the process. Even though I stopped in right before close of day. Representative William took his time unrushed and assisted and supported the process every step of the way. Making sure I totally understood everything. I appreciate the great customer service snd being glad I stopped in when I did. Thank You!! ... Read more

Austin and Micheal did, and Outstanding job. They went above and beyond their job. While I was there with other customers, they treated everyone with respect and politeness. You can't ask for more to dedicated employees. ... Read more

Lied about everything! Told me they had carts and were to unload your things, but throughout my going to my unit over the last couple of months, I never had a chance or seen a cart! I bought my own from Amazon because when I complained, I was told other guests must always be using them or locked in someone’s unit, and was advised to buy my own! After buying my own, I moved my stuff in and had one or two more issues, but the icing on the cake was when they promised my move-in promotion rate wouldn’t change because I offered to pay in advance, lol they lied, so I didn’t! 2 months later, they changed the rate, and I no longer can pay in advance because the rate was already changed, and the cost to move my stuff isn’t worth it since I’m out of state for work now! Public storage is sneaky and sketchy; at least this location “be careful”! ... Read more

This place is a mess. You can never find a cart because people keep taking them. There are always items being dumped by the dumpster. Mice are there unfortunately because people are nasty and bring items they're not supposed to. ... Read more

Not at all impressed with this location. Roof is leaking on our stuff every time it rains or snow melts. Have called property manager multiple times and have yet to get any type of response. Will be removing our things as soon as possible. ... Read more

The ladies who work at the storage facility are great this review is not reflective of them. When I first rented my unit in September of 2023, my payment was only $100 a month. Now, less than a year and a half after, it’s $230. They keep raising it and it’s ridiculous. I will be moving my stuff out this month due to the increasing cost and will never use their facilities again. ... Read more

management is awful, they've got me on restricted hours for nothing, I've tried appealing it 5 times and management won't ever contact me. they've also hiked my prices repeatedly. I'm paying over $200 for a unit smaller than one at extra space that I'll be paying $40 for! price started at $74 and I've been there less than 12 months ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 6650 Troost Avenue include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 6650 Troost Avenue start from $38 and can go up to $318 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
