Read some helpful reviews of Midway Storage at 6500 West Henderson Road, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

We've been renting a unit at this facility since April and we have paid our rent on time every month. I went out there to get some things out of my unit only to find my lock had been cut, and they'd replaced it with a red lock. Well, that would indicate to me it was placed there for one of two reasons, one because a bill wasn't paid and they cut the lock, or two because some lowlife cut it and they put one on there in the interim. I called and spoke with someone in China, so we have no one to contact in America, FYI. She said she can see I've paid and will need to reach out to the on site manager. I told her I want to know why the lock was cut, and when the owners would be replacing the lock they removed in error. Chen called me back and said they went out an put a different lock on there I could access and that I would just need to replace my lock. No. They cut my lock for no reason, they can pay to replace it. I told her to call the manager back and ask why the lock was cut in the first place. It has been 4 days and I still have no answers. I have no idea if my things were stolen, I have no idea what is going on. Shady company. We will be moving our items out of the facility ASAP and we DO NOT recommend anyone use this facility. If they cannot be accountable for their mistake and refuse to give answers about MY PROPERTY then they have no business being in the storage industry and no one should make themselves vulnerable to these shady business owners. ... They book units through third parties and then do not keep the availability updated. Apparently they don't even let their employees know. After making a reservation, receiving voice calls from their company and the third party that I originally booked through, packing up my belongings and waiting patiently for some information on how to pay and get started, I was informed that they are completely booked up. Nothing could be offered for compensation of this tremendous waste of time either. (I only asked for a discount on a future unit when it became available). I am extremely dissatisfied. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 350 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Midway Storage - 6500 West Henderson Road start from $54 and can go up to $225 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
