I have only had my unit for a week, 10 x 10 & so it is good. I picked it because it was the lowest price I could find to store extras from downsizing after a divorce & moving. It has a secured gate. I was given a free lock. There are cameras on the property. I also have my own insurance. Someone is always here in the office also. I would recommend this Property to others. ... Read more

The horror story of my experiences with Storage Rentals of America started out with me writing a review of my initial interaction. When I arrived the first time to rent, the person in the office said "Do you have an appointment"? I was really taken aback as I have never heard of needing an appointment to rent a storage unit. She also stated she couldn't help me with the rental as she was too new and wasn't trained on how to do it. Seriously?? I was able to view one storage unit and it seemed adequate. The site manager returned while I was looking at them and was able to do the rental of two units for me. Significant lack of customer service all around. About six weeks later, I came out to the storage center and discovered that my units had been broken into. The first one I opened was trashed, my things thrown all over the place. Then I tried to open the second unit and discovered that they had put their own lock on it so they could come back to steal more!!! I went to the office and asked the site manager to accompany me so I had a witness. The first thing she did was look up my account and then stated "Well, you don't have insurance with us so there's nothing I can do for you". She then asked me if I had actually locked my units. Ummmm, yes, I always did that. She just stood there, not saying a word, just looking at my two units that were a horrific mess. I said to her "You sure don't seem concerned that a customer has been robbed". Her reply was "What do you want me to do, cry?" Needless to say, that made everything worse. I could not believe her callousness. Two weeks later I was there and could only work on cleaning things up for a short time as it was during that February cold snap. I left in the afternoon and it was snowing hard. I returned the next morning and noted that one of my items that had been stolen was in a snowbank outside the building. It was a small moving cart with a handle. I could tell by the tracks in the snow that they had pulled the cart to the building, went inside to steal more, discovered that I had put two new locks on each unit, left the building and threw my cart into the snowbank. I contacted the police and the site manager to update them that they needed to look at the video from the afternoon prior to that morning and they should easily be able to tell who went into that building pulling my cart. The site manager said "I'm not really good at reviewing video, my manager usually does that". The police never went out there to check it either. In other words, no one was doing a damn thing to help with this robbery. I could not be more disappointed with the management and the police. Also, one time when I was out there, I noted that the security gate was in the open position but no one was in the entryway. I turned on the video on my camera and just filmed it for a couple of minutes. While I was doing that, I contacted their corporate office since the site manager was not there (again). They told me it was impossible for that to happen. Really??? I am looking at it right now. They said they'd check into it and would contact the site manager to let her know. As for the St. Cloud Police Department, I left 11 messages for the officer who was "investigating". He didn't bother to respond. The only time I heard from him was when he called to say he was closing the case due to a lack of evidence. The moral of this story...I should found a different storage facility when my initial impression was not a good one. Lesson learned. ... Read more

New customer to storage units as a whole. When trying to reserve a u it with this company, I was disconnected twice with no follow up callback. Then, they both even had attitude of unprofessional customer service. I had called back a 3rd time with success. When I reached the unit gate, system was down and I could not pass the gate. Called the two numbers provided as on site security officer was not on site! Eventually someone with no name let me in. Once I got to the unit, it appears I was to buy my own lock. Was not informed of that either as I only called the 800 number. Ugh. ... Read more

If you want your stuff stolen put it here this was a inside job they cut the lock then put a another lock on it when they claim it wasn’t paid. They Put a da Vinci lock on it. That has a four digit code that I and the staff had access to unlocked it. They stolen everything that they wanted to. My Social Security cards, TVs purses clothes, anything you can name of. The police and I are working together to get the camera footage pulled. No one is every in office when you called. You get transferred 99 times I was even transferred to a customer that was actually complaining about the same thing I’m going through. Every call that I made with them, I recorded in which will be used in court as well. The storage was in my son name Kevin. They’re giving him the run arounds about the insurance on the storage claiming that they’re sending the paperwork which they never sent so yeah we have to get a lawyer. ... Read more

My girlfriend and I had a unit another only put her as primary person and I was a secondary person. We were told that if she was unable to pay for the u it for some reason that I would be contacted for paying for it. Whe she couldn't pay for it the never attempted to contact me they just sold the unit without my knowledge even though I am on the lease as a second contact. Then when I Called to get someone to help me with the issue and to pay the balance i was told too bad we sold your stuff. So I wouldn't highly recommend not using this storage facility. It was off Roosevelt road in St cloud mn. Workers were very rude and very I wiling to help me get my stuff back. So again highly recommend not using this facility unless you want to lose your stuff. ... Read more

They call and call and call and harass and text and email and harass for being late on your payment that's under a month late! I tell them every month I can't pay until the 30th yet they continue to harass and lie. They say that you cannot access your unit after a certain day because you're late it's a lie. According to the Minnesota statue they have to send a certified letter to you with a 14 day notice and even then they cannot deny you access. They sure are pressed for 70$ every month. They violate the law and intimidate you. DO NOT RENT A UNIT FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! UNPROFESSIONAL AND THEY LIE TO INTIMIDATE YOU!! ... Read more

SROA is a horribly run business, IF you actually get to speak to a human they are not authorized to actually help or make decisions. They NEVER return phone calls. Last year the snow and ice was beyond acceptable. They claim that it fell faster than they could manage.. the real problem was the inexperienced lazy plow company they hired. Doors were smashed into, ice was piled in front of the big units making them inaccessible and flood. Stay far away from this place. If I could give negative or zero stars I absolutely would ... Took me 5 days to get into my storage unit I needed immediately. Then they switched units. But not until 2 days after I asked to. Manager is not on property as stated. Only every so often. Then trying to contact them is a joke or getting a legit response. Even email they reset it as taken care of when it hasn’t so it doesnt get taken care of even when you place 3 calls into it. I should of been credited for days I never received or was able to even use storage, even by their paperwork they sent me said the same. Nice units though. Few homeless types nearby but often. Price was right. I never did get my free lock I was suppose to receive with the unit either. ... Read more

AMS was wonderful, since they were bought out by Storage Rentals of America, it has gone down hill significantly. Terrible Snow Removal. Ice build up. Every time you call, you can’t talk to a local person. Not a solution based company. (Can not get into storage unit due to lack of snow removal, there is a 12in layer of ice, company stated it is the tenants problem by local manager… it took multiple calls to even speak to the local manager… Local manager stated regional manager would get involved, never heard back.) If you continue with getting a storage locker here, do NOT get a north facing unit…. Be warned. Where do you think all that water will go when it melts..? Into the storage unit… Truly… go down the road to a storage unit with better snow removal.. Went to talk to someone in the Office Monday at 3:24- closed. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Storage Rentals of America - 3678 Roosevelt Road include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, First Floor Access and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 480 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Storage Rentals of America - 3678 Roosevelt Road start from $22 and can go up to $196 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
